I have always been a music guy dating back to Napster and LimeWire. always downloading music.

now I keep about 4 playlists going and always have a pad and paper next to me in case I hear something on TV that either I want to add or triggers a song I used to know. I used to download everything to my IPod from you tube with the YTtoMP3 converter, but the sound levels between songs drove me crazy

So next, I started streaming music on Pandora when it came around and used Tidal for a while. after that I got into Spotify, but got tired of all the adds. About 4 years ago my wife said why don't you use Amazon music we already pay for it and it's commercial free.

So, I switched and have been super happy with it. Very easy to add songs.

Who are you guys and gals using now for your backyard jams???

Pandora and I pay to eliminate ads. The Music Genome Project, which is it's core music matching feature, lets me create stations from songs or artists then matches similar songs very, very well. It will occasionally inject a song that is a real earbug, which I will create a new station from and dive down that rabbit-hole.

I love the old stuff but I like discovery even more. Fresh neural pathways and all that junk.

Ive been using Amazon Music, becaused it bridged over the era when I used to buy actual cd's, but they keep changing stuff, burying options further and futher from easy use, I can't even figure out how to add stuff to "My Music" any longer.

I'm sure they're trying to make the service better or something, all they are doing is driving me to the compteition. I'm one more major change away from moving on to something less chaotic.

    Would not recomend.

I use Amazon Music. Figure it's already on my phone. It's a pain to switch around on stuff.

My wife uses spotify, but it has commercials.

Every once in a while, I will turn on a radio.

    Spotify family plan.

I actually listen to podcasts more than music, but my kids love it and use it to find new music that they in turn introduce me to, so it's worth the money as far as I'm concerned.

I found out the other way. Youtube premium is included with Youtube Music. Huge fan of both.

Qobuz, Tidal, and Apple Music. the first two primarily via Roon.

in the car i use Radio Paradise and Jazz Groove.

I pay for all of the above.

if Spotify ever actually launches its HiFi tier, I will give them a shot.
