Is this also from ChatGPT? Just so you know you can't really trust anything an AI spits out, especially statistics.

Data from Henley & Partners seems to match Corrosion's data closely, though it has Houston as tied for 6th in billionaires. It would seem in this case, AI and hard data support that the rich choose to live in Houston.

Even if true (the sources of these net worth listings tend to be pretty dubious as nobody is required to disclose information about their wealth), growth in millionaires/billionaires doesn't necessarily mean wealthy people are choosing to live in Houston. It may instead mean that people already in Houston are getting wealthier, which would speak well of Houston's economy, but not necessarily its attractiveness as a destination to migrate to.

Player payroll is capped. Non-player payroll is not.

Why would you brag about limiting your non-player payroll, when that (if well used) should be a hyper-rich owner's most plausible source of advantage?

Small team. Efficient. Easier to make quick decisions. These would be the obvious advantages. But hopefully they aren't cutting costs on analytics and scouting.

We're also the smallest in the development and assistant coaches dept.

Stone did a better job of managing Rockets vs Morey managing the Sixers so far. All that staff still gave Paul George and Embiid 5 yr guaranteed maxes.

If the Rockets had more Scouts for the NBA Draft, better Draft selections would've been made.

Jalen Green over Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, Franz Wagner (Highest IQ) SF

Josh Christopher and Usman Garuba over Quentin Grimes from University of Houston and never even noticed him in your own backyard.

Cam Whitmore situation was a disaster from the beginning.

Eli Witus I think should be the GM, "Smartest guy in the room". Rafael Stone just gets exposed every time when he stutters.

Well, looking at the team assembled, I've got no complaints with the front office.

Because that's how you win in the kitschy distressed asset restaurateur business! Shut up and listen.

This is a Tillman issue. Don't tell me the are synergizing through AI to cover up for not spending more on non player payroll.

I would also agree. However, due to generally drafting well I would expect teams to start poaching front office staff. Will we have the infrastructure to withstand the inevitable brain drain?

Everybody makes mistakes in drafting what about picking Amen, Sengun, Jabari and Tari? Whitmore, Garuba etc all these guys are non lotto picks its common to miss on those.

For example Morey is considered a great drafter and he has missed on Chinanu Onuaku, Jeremy Lamb, Royce White, Terrence Jones, Sam Dekker, Chase Budinger etc

Even Presti has made some draft mistakes picking Ousmane Dieng and Pokusevski. And those were lotto picks.

Cant believe Stone still has haters after the job he has done SMH

Some people are just clueless. Ask anybody outside Houston if the Rockets FO have done a good job or not.

It's kinda funny how so many people have said that they were afraid of Stone was going to get bent over in contract negiations or trades - he hasn't given out a bad one yet and he got the better of the trades he's made - just look at those PHX picks and people were crying about that too ....

Even the KPJ contract protected him from KPJ's behavior. It was voided & he was outa the league, playing in Greece until the Clippers gave him a 3rd chance (and traded him to Milwaukee).

Stone has been really good so far, drafting, contracts and trades .... Some of you are going to cry about Evan Mobley over Jalen Green, but he was never going to suit up here, Daddy wasn't going to allow that - he'd have pulled a Steve Fracis and refused to show up. No one wants a malcontent on their roster .... and even in hindsight, Green was the right choice, this team needed a star - That aint Mobley.
