I'd assume they send down Melton and Matthews before Cam. I know most are over Leon but he could be someone we look at.
Someone else would’ve hit better than .128 over the last 6 weeks. Cam is not our best everyday outfielder (offensively), he is our worst. The good defense isn’t justifying keeping him in the lineup right now. He also made a costly drop in RF the other day. Should’ve been ruled an error.
The Astros won 3 out of 4 on the road against the Orioles and picked up a game against the M’s who lost two out of 3 against the Athletics. Overall pretty good series. Even in the loss Arrighetti showed signs of doing well - Alexander pitched well again as well. Yordan is coming back after ass raping in the minors. Fans are still complaining but Walker and Diaz both continue to turn their seasons around with with OPS’ overall at .710… Walker has an OPS now of .860 the last two months and his OPS with runners in scoring position for the year is .920…. Diaz has an OPS of .800 the last two months. The loss of Hader and Sausa hurts a lot but Garcia and Kimbrel may help enough to give them a shot to come back before the end of the season. Would love an honest update on Meyers as he can make the offense elite if he is able to hit.
Sure. Should have caught it isn’t the standard for an error. The standard for an error is “failure to make an ordinary effort play”. That wasn’t an ordinary effort play.
Ok maybe you’re right about “ordinary effort”. Maybe not. He was never in a full sprint and he dropped the ball. If you can’t make that play, your defense definitely isn’t carrying your non existent offense.
Borderline on this one. Could’ve been an error. If I recall correctly, it did cost us the game. I know that’s not a criteria either. edit: actually maybe it didn’t cost the game. I can’t remember
Yep, just not going to happen this year. Dana came to that conclusion rather quickly hence no talk around it anymore unless it's asked about, which its HST, it won't be.
Yordan 4 ABs tonight... 2/4 with a single and a bases clearing double. Taken out in what appears to be the 8th with the Hooks up 11-3.... hopefully as a precaution.
