Had a proper stakeout for a cougar this morning. She's been seen twice on the Round Mountain ranch. She did now show up at the stock tank today, I'd really like to see one in the wild. Thus, I am annoyed.

People who call you immediately after you email or text them. Read the room. The reason I'm emailing/texting you instead of calling you is because I don't want to talk to you...

...unless the text says explicitly "call me"

Some conversations can't be done via text

So yesterday I was out sick from work.
We have a Miniature Daschund named Archie. He's quite the pain in the arse, but he is our 3rd since the 90's.
He is 3 years old now and I think he would be less bored if we got another dog. So in-between my fever naps I was looking online to see what was out there. Our Archie has AKC papers but at this point I don't need a show dog I need a companion for my dog who despite his papers is anything but regal.

So, I'm online looking for a Daschund female fixed, I almost crapped my pants when I saw that the price for a new Daschund is almost 3,500 dollars.
We paid 1,000 three years ago. That a crazy increase.

So, I was like screw it. We don't need a daschund just to keep Archie company. I then turned my attention to our local Humane society. 98% of the dogs are pitty's which I have no problem with except the size difference does not work between the dogs. I finally found a dog that looked dumb enough to fit in with us. Here is the annoying part they wanted 750.00 for the adoption fee. I do not know how many dogs they expect to have adopted/purchased at that price. These dogs need homes, and I know there is overhead, but come on 750 for a mutt??

That is CRAZY, when I adopted by 2 cats (sisters) it cost like $50.00 on a BOGO and that included shots and neutering..............how in the hell are they going to find forever homes at $750.00??

    That's crazy! (I'm Brian Fellows!!)

We got our first (lab/shar pei) at an adoption event at Petco 7 years ago. And our second (Australian Kelpie) at a local rescue here in Kingwood. https://www.twyla.org I don't remember spending more than $200 all in for either one.

Campbell's Soup changed their classic recipes for Cream of Chicken and Cream of Mushroom soup. And, apparently, grocery store brands followed suit. Now, any recipes you make with those soups as a base has a bland flavor. I understand those soups weren't considered healthy because of MSG, fat, and salt. But, on the occasion where one wants to make a recipe where flavor is what you want, these soups no longer do it. They are completely different. Therefore, the recipe suffers. I consider these soups unusable now and any recipes that call for them...are 86-ed.

Wish I could a bought of sh t-ton of cases of those soups before they made the change. I would be selling that stuff on eBay and reserve a stash for myself. Maybe I'll check eBay.

Hmmmm, what did they change exactly? I use one of those for a holiday dish and curious to know.

Well...they have several "healthy" offerings now, like "No Salt" and "Healthy Recipe" and others. They changed them up to be healthier offerings. The problem is they lost the flavor profile of the classics. I'm sure you can doctor it up however. But, it's never going to be the flavor profile it was. They removed the MSG and other ingredients. The problem is they removed the flavor they were known for in the process that was decades old. Nobody really eats these soups straight. They use them in sauces and as a base of flavor. I tried making a dish with them and it just wasn't nearly as good. I wasn't sure what changed until I looked it up.

$750 is crazy. They do know it's about saving the dogs you can save right and not highway robbery?

You want the annoying apology I see. I was trying to correct my previous post and I got frustrated because the image I wanted to use wasn't displaying correctly. So, I meant to edit that post and just put 'nevermind' because, at that point, I was kind of pissed. And, I ended up typing 'nevermind' in the wrong box and hitting the wrong button. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.

Or, I was calling the nirvana album "nevermind" annoying.

Oh man, now you've got me thinking about an old-school dish I haven't had in ages: broccoli/cheese/rice casserole, it had cream of chicken as a base

I went to the woodlands pet place thinking it was a dog shelter per google search. The guy in a suit got us inside a cubicle with a shiba inu. I had enough with that cat personality dog and went to the truck to wait for the fam. My wife said the dog was $6000.

This is the same exact dish I was thinking of yesterday and it’s cream of mushroom unless you make it differently for some reason…
