Thinking about what I'd like to see from the Astros between now and the end of the season, mostly it's more consistency with our returning pitchers (Arighetti, Javier, Garcia), Framber coming back to form, Meyers back to the lineup and figuring out our default lineup for the playoffs. Yordan will be the DH, so does that mean Altuve is back at second? Sanchez has been fun to watch. I'm guessing he's our designated RF against right-handed starting pitchers, so then hopefully Meyers back at CF and McCormick in left? I'd like to see Kimbrell asap so we can see how his stuff looks. Obviously we're all hoping for some good news on the Hader situation in the next few weeks. Lots of questions right now for this team, but with a little over a month to play, things could look really different by the end of the year.
I just wrote a whole post about it elsewhere, but I feel like the Altuve problem is just going to get worse next season. I just don't feel like there's a spot for him as an everyday player going forward. He's just too terrible defensively no matter where they put him....you want his .800 OPS in the lineup as long as he can maintain it, but if everyone is back, there won't be a spot in the infield for him and the outfield is pretty crowded too.
Guys missing 93mph fastballs is not a good sign. Spencer about to let Baltimore show how you hit 93 minus FBs. DD
Yeah, he can't hit anything up at all, and just on CUE....Spencer gives up a DONG.....on a mediocre pitch. DD
