Mostly agree but Kremer did punk us a few days ago.

Maldy literally led the league in passed balls. TWICE.

True, but that was the only good start of Brandon Young’s career and then we had him figured out. Kremer has shut us down like 4 times in a row and is a way more established pitcher than Young.

Maldy never really had a starting gig nailed down until he played for Dusty in Houston. He was a backup most of his career. His mystique only exists in Houston, and it was created by Dusty and embraced by Dusty’s fan club.

The whole “Maldy can’t hit or play defense but I see his value because I understand baseball more than the average fan” mentality of some on here was cringe AF. You still hear that trash today.

Dang, Dubin will almost certainly be claimed by a team out of contention. He was a very high ceiling P and I thought he’d figured it out earlier this year. He looked damn good before he got hurt.

So I've been wondering and gotta ask, correct me if I'm wrong...you grew up in the DC/Maryland area and yet somehow hate the Orioles? How'd that happen?

He's the glue of our team. He's one of the main leaders of our clubhouse, and his preparation is unmatched. His want and will to win, you can feel it. ... [He is] the MVP of our season.

—Lance McCullers Jr., starting pitcher and teammate in Houston[71]

Astros teammate Carlos Correa lauded his dedication and meticulousness in preparation of the pitching staff. At 5:25

Well, being an Astro fan, it was pretty easy.

I don’t hate the Orioles. Only when they play the Astros. As a kid they were my AL team.

Like a group of girlfriends who tell the ugly girl in their group she's beautiful and the guys rejecting her are a-holes. She's still ugly no matter what they say and everyone knows it (except for a few posters on a message board).

Skubal, Degrom, and Eovaldi all have punked us though so kind of a mixed bag against the best in the AL

OK, next obvious question out of pure curiosity: How'd you become a Stros fan?

Parents divorced when I was 5. Dad moved to Baytown. I spent my summers there. I rooted for everything Houston even though my friends and family were Redskin/Orioles/Bullets fans.
