I wonder if DP is on the bubble? The past 2 years have been a disappointment (other the kickoff returns)..........at some point, like Metchie you have to cut bait if there not working out. We're going to have some good players cut so every one of your 53 need to be ready to contribute. Hell, maybe he`s shown some great improvement that we haven't seen so he really needs to play tomorrow
I suspect both Autry and Robinson to start on IR/Designated for Return. I also expect more trades before cut day than typical because of our depth and likelihood they will be claimed off waivers. This could happen as soon as today even before the last preseason game. I also expect a trade with Detroit because we look for the same things in players and they've had more injuries to deal with. But this is a wild ass guess with no claims of inside information. Just available injury reports.
I'm celebrating because you show both BRYANTs making the 53. If Dameon Pierce is not traded, I suspect he makes the roster. I believe he is a trade candidate, but not a cut candidate. The downside is teams willing to make a trade are usually better teams who don't want a worse team to claim their target.
It would surprise me a little bit, he's got more upside than a lot of the guys they have, but his struggles in pass blocking are what has landed him in the doghouse. Keeping an essentially worthless RB like Dare Ogunbowale or an over 30 FB like Jakob Johnson over Pierce would make no sense from a football perspective, it would just be evidence that the coaching staff just REALLY hates Pierce.
