He got through 80 pitches with what should have been 1 run despite not having great control or the needed stamina to get through that many pitches. Thats more than any starter other than Brown can say for a while.

So I think we can characterize the McCullers performance as another clunker. Absolutely nothing that screams this guy deserves more starts. Time to fake another injury (60 day IL this time) and bring up Blubaugh.
he's been solid but he's still a negative WAR player. If he continues his pace for the rest of the year then the final verdict will be pretty good.

Can’t keep 6 starters. McCullers should go to the pen. He rarely completes 5 anyway. He’s going to short to be a starter.
