The most important stat is W/L. Anyone arguing he didn't have a big impact on winning last year is either lying or delusional.

If you hate (or don't "respect") Durant, that is your privilege, but you must understand trying to convince objective people to discount his ability will fail because they don't share your blind rage.

If a player was the 2nd best player in the league and now according to you can be ranked as low as 20, how is he not a shell of what he used to be? Do you consider Harden to be a shell of himself? Or do you view him the same as in 2018. Makes zero sense, you can be as much as of ass as you want it doesn't really matter, and i don't recall ever posting any baseball analysis outside of wanting diaz over maldy which i guess you disagree with.

 

Great keep these stats when we are worst than last year so you can blame the young guys when we eventually lose. We're not winning a chip with KD. I dont beleive in him at all.

 

Agreed, he's still a very useful player. I think there's a possibility he's the 3rd best overall player on the Rockets next season... but that's not because he's bad, it's because I'm really high on Amen and Sengun. I think KD is still a top 30 player even in his old age

we really just need him to hit jump shots and shoot over people. We need him to make the right pass with the extreme amount of gravity he will create.

And we need him to provide some length on the perimeter and be cautious about getting injured.

He will be able to Take a step back and do less than he ever has.

 

Great then we SHOULD be better. Im expecting second seed and WCF's at least if he's as good as all these stats you guys are putting out says. Just like the Suns shoulda been better when they got KD and Kyrie and KD when healthy after Harden left SHOULDA been able to get out the first round. Everything looks good on paper. They actually have to play together. If we get to the WCF's then that proves me wrong that KD is in fact not overated. But I think he is. I dont think he makes us that much better. I think he shrinks unless he has the deck stacked in his favor.

 

Dude, think of what kind of team we had if Jalen Green shot 43% from 3 and 57% from 2 instead of 35% from 3 and 48% from 2.

If you got to know most NBA players you will realize they are not the nicest guys, they are some of the most entitled people on the planet. They have massive egos, and are surrounded by yes men from their teenage years. Brining up Jordan here is pretty comical, given he is one of the worst athletes of all time as a human and used his fathers death as a reason to leave for a gambling suspension. Notice how even his own teammates despise him (Scottie, Isiah, and the others who played w him still hate him to this day), you will never see him hanging with other NBA or ex NBA players, he has no real friends for a reason. Even among guys that hang with him for golf, he is known as a massive cheap skate gambling degenerate. The worst are the womanizers, the ones who are married and have hundreds of NDAs signed with women and portray themselves to be family men. I have a lot more respect for guys who don't have a bunch of kids or get married and create a fake image (Lebron, CP3, D Wade, Kobe). Guys like Jalen who knock up a bunch of women and won't be present, KD is engaging with fans with the same energy online they bring him and gets hate for it.

KD has a lot of friends in the NBA, if you look at who's house people go to in LA in the summer if you are a bench player or super star on another team, they go to KDs (He will be a lot more accessible as a star than Harden or Westbrook were in Houston for the other guys on the team). A lot of players jump teams, guys like Lebron and KD switched teams more than someone like Jordan and Kobe because they wanted to win and didn't have elite front offices and coaches. Notice how Kobe and Jordan have zero championships combined without Phil? they are praised for sticking w one team, but look at their front offices and coaches, It takes more than just being an elite talent, you need a front office and top coach. Otherwise you end up like Giannis and Dirk and are lucky to get one ring.
