Skubal and Crochet are going to be 1-2 in AL CY voting, Hunter Brown is currently pretty firmly in 3rd. With the Rangers skipping DeGrom to reduce his workload, he’s less of a threat. So basically the Astros just need Brown to outperform Eovaldi and Fried in September to secure the Astros an extra 1st round pick next year. Fried has sucked lately so it probably will come down to Brown or Eovaldi. With the Rangers out of the playoffs it will hopefully make them be more cautious with Eovaldi.

Good God, this is what matters.

The manager has to listen to the pitching coach.

I was told Yordan Alvarez wants to comeback NOW and play Thursday.

The Astros want him to comeback this weekend.

If he comes back that is a huge lift for the Astros.

    Pena
    Altuve
    Correa
    Alvarez
    Walker
    Diaz
    Urias
    Smith
    Trammel

Getting Meyers back would be a big lift- and he does not need to be as good as he was, only better than Trammel and McCormick and Melton -- and that is a low border.

The Houston Astros have placed GM Dana Brown on the IL for his ineptitude in forcing the hand that the spoon feeds... bc you cant and dont do SH!!T.
Also of note: manager, Joe Espada along with hitting coach Alex Cintron and base running coaches Dave Clark and Gary Perezchica have been designated for assignment.

Hader should never throw 38 pitches in a game, much less warmup in the bullpen the next day. Espada should be fired for this abuse and he officially killed this season.

Just bring him back now if he wants to comeback. Stupid wasting ABs in AA with how bad some of the guys in the lineup are right now.

Didn't we waste 2-3 weeks of healthy Michael Brantley when he was "rehabbing"...

If we get worse, we can look back at the Hader injury as the catalyst to this dumpster fire. We just don't have that "spark" right now like we did when Correa came back, yes we have injuries out the wazoo but the Hader fiasco cold have been avoided and that's 100% on Joe

Espada may the most hated manager by his own fan base that still finishes top 3 in manager of the year.

    With good reason.

I need yordan to get that first inning at bat.
If it were up to me I’d switch Alvarez and Correa.
Plus he wouldn’t get anything to hit with Walker behind him.

I agree. Also think Smith/Sanchez and McCormick/Trammel should be straight platoon until Myers is back. Maybe Dubon needs to be in the outfield mix a little more. Melton shouldn’t be on the team.

If memory serves, Dusty wanted to play him every day. Brantley wasn't capable of playing every day. Also, Julks was playing LF blocking PAs if Brantley wasn't 25% of his former self.
