Something that may change your perspective: The percentage we are all free (versus in slavery) can be expressed by [1 minus the tax rate]. So if we all pay a 30% tax rate, then we are 30% slaves and 70% free. If tax rates rise to 40%, then we are 60% free and 40% slaves. Because if taxes are not paid, you are forcibly imprisoned and lose your freedom. Once again, Republicans are the anti-slavery party. This is not the entirety of the Republican economic policy, however -- that's where your logic falls very short. Bringing you up the learning curve would take a substantial amount of time.
