maybe you weren't, but this claim is certainly a broken record with some progressive types, e.g., our own @DaDakota :

and that's just from the first 20 hits out of 200 :D

I will not be responsible for DD's posts, you can't make me.

I also don't think you want me making you responsible for the "non progressive types" posts and opinions. That's playing with fire bud.

well, remember I was making a general point--not a specific one about you personally:

I'll happily accept any correlations to " 'non progressive types' posts and opinions." No worries here.

bonus points for the Hill Street Blues gif

    obligatory

DD is a pretty specific reference point, no matter how general his volume of posts or being is. :D

Oh for sure there are lot dumb boot licking moronic Republicans out there, some on this very board(and its most Republicans to be honest). But the intellectual Republican being okay with going into fascism is very disturbing.

Lmao they dont even care about being "fiscally" conservative they just think "taxes are bad" and thats their entire economic policy.

Something that may change your perspective:

The percentage we are all free (versus in slavery) can be expressed by [1 minus the tax rate]. So if we all pay a 30% tax rate, then we are 30% slaves and 70% free. If tax rates rise to 40%, then we are 60% free and 40% slaves. Because if taxes are not paid, you are forcibly imprisoned and lose your freedom. Once again, Republicans are the anti-slavery party.

This is not the entirety of the Republican economic policy, however -- that's where your logic falls very short. Bringing you up the learning curve would take a substantial amount of time. But start with reading Milton Friedman.

dude, this woman claims to have a masters degree (cued it up for you at the appropriate spot). Have no clue whether she votes Democratic or Republican though.

I'm sorry brother I can't click that, I value my time and YT algorithm health too much. Right now it's the perfect mix of skateboarding, fishing, cars, sports, retro WWE, and most importantly Comedy clips.

I click on that and all hell will break loose.

    commentary:

Democrats demand a new Constitution — maybe America should take them up on it

    https://nypost.com/2025/08/18/opinion/democrats-demand-a-new-constitution-lets-give-them-one/

    excerpt:

Let’s also allow intra-state secession, to free large rural red areas from the rule of blue urbanites with very different values and priorities.

Upstate New York is a prisoner of New York City politics, while ruby-red downstate Illinois is totally dominated by Chicago Democrats. These counties and others should be allowed to vote themselves into separate states if their voters so desire.

The Constitution currently forbids that, sure — but it also provides for the undemocratic Senate and Electoral College, doesn’t it?

The Democratic Party Faces a Voter Registration Crisis
The party is bleeding support beyond the ballot box, a new analysis shows.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/20/...e_code=1.fk8.YhZB.TYB2WDfoqhWi&smid=url-share

    excerpt:

Any hope that the drift away from the Democratic Party would end organically with Mr. Trump’s election has been dashed by the limited data so far in 2025. There are now roughly 160,000 fewer registered Democrats than on Election Day 2024, according to L2’s data, and 200,000 more Republicans.

“It’s going to get worse,” Mr. Pruser, of Decision Desk HQ, said of the outlook for Democrats, “before it gets better.”

two years of lockdown and the summer of BLM have created a generation of "kids" who have no idea how to act in public, and believe there will never be any consequences for their actions.
