True, but it definitely wasn't his fault we lost imo.

A few skilled low-post big men added three pointers to their arsenal: Marc Gasol, Al Horford, Brook Lopez, Nikola Vucevic. It didn't dramatically open up their games. Like you said, it primarily allowed them to complement others with better spacing. I would love the idea of Sengun adding a three point shot and becoming the next Jokic level center, but realistically I'd be happy if he could just hit spot up threes or maybe pick and pop. And that's already a tall task.

The Lithuanian team isn't even worth watching now that they don't have DMo anymore.

Regarding Horford and Lopez, my memory is that they were both on the point of fading into obscurity (more Lopez than Horford) before the shooting basically added another 6-8 years onto their careers. I think if they had added the shot earlier to their careers, it would have had a bigger effect. Also, I'd expect guys with higher usage to reap more benefits from adding a three-point shot.

You can watch it on TRTSPOR, but you need a VPN because it's geo locked, you need to make them think you are in Turkey

I really want Team Turkey to advance beyond the group stage so Alpi can play more games, but their lack of cohesion will probably stop them.

They did look a lot better in this rematch against Lithuania, but it wasn't encouraging.

Alpi's 25/5/2 was fine but their offense holds him back.

if the Commissar goes to 10 minute quarters for the nba, It would f' up so many things.
That's all I think about when I watch international ball these days. Never gave it much thought before. Probably because he wants to replicate that atmosphere so badly.

But yeah,Turkey was running the "Give it to Will" offense for 3 qtrs with Alpi.

Türkiye has a really solid frontcourt even without Alpi but man that backcourt is horrific. Reminds me of the Silas era.

Because of the huge revenue hit caused by fewer commercials, the NBA will never reduce to 10 min quarters.

That's certainly true for Horford, Lopez, and Gasol. Vucevic was still in his prime and had fairly high usage when he added range. Kevin Love added a three point shot at a young age and it really did open his up face up game IMO, so that's probably a good case scenario if Sengun can get to that level.
