Wemby is great and getting better. It’s all about health. When healthy he is better than Sengun. It all comes down to if he can stay that way. I personally think Amen will end up with the better career, but if they both have longevity they could both be HOF’s (potentially of course).

Amen would be a different monster if he were 7*5.....even at 7'2.

His athleticism and wingspan do make up for some of the difference in height. Not all of it though.

So hyped to see the effect KD has on the team. I think we can safely say that Amen's work ethic will do most of the rest once KD shows him how to make the best of the reps.

I’m gonna be looking at Jabari sideways if he’s still mediocre after full-time KD tutelage

    he’s gotta go from

Agreed 100% If you can't learn how to be a lanky super tall shooter from the best then there's no hope.

Too bad basketball skills aren't just head knowledge. You need physical tools to execute what you want to do on the court.

Jabari doesn't have Durant's smooth body movement. What I hope Jabari to improve is his ball handling. He doesn't have to be as smooth and fast as KD. But he can work on using some dribbling to get separation for a shot. He could do it in college. Against NBA defenders, he needs better handles.

I don't want him ever driving or trying to "ballhandle" tbh. I want KD to teach him those 1/2 dribble to create space jumpshots. We've seen Bari can shoot really well in the midrange, if he can learn how to create that little bit of space for himself he doesn't need to be KD, he'd still easily average 20 a game between a few threes, some easy jump shots and a couple of those lil elbow shots he often seems automatic at...

I just dont like Kevin Durant. I know yall excited but so was everyone else when they got him. Thunder are way more successful without KD. I think this is a bad trade and we will regret it. KD along with Lebron are two of the most overrated players ever. We fell for it.

I have and will have mixed feelings, I basically stopped watching him after he joined the Warriors and had to endure their Championships.

    • I think he will have 1 or 2 good years......I believe he is still a decent closer, I just think the league has gotten so much better that they don't worry about him as much......can counter him in situations
    • The way the Pacers and Thunder played, they heavily relied on their 6th-9th men besides Jaydub and SGA.
    • Strength in Bench Offense

Two of the best front offices in the NBA were in the mix to get KD in the Warriors and the Spurs so it is not like they went and did anything crazy, the Rockets were able to salary dump a bad contract and pick up a scorer which they desperately needed without giving up much at all. JG with his extension is going to look pretty terrible. Name 5 players you would like to try and get a bucket for you in the finals in crunch time instead of KD...

GSW was mostly before the offseason and they are desperate pre-Butler trade.

Spurs needed a star vet.......but I think they ultimately did not want to part with a young package which the Thunder and Rockets have proven that internal development worked over aging Mercenaries.

The Spurs are primed to contend in 2-3 years......if they don't sell off their youngs outside of Wemby.
For them it is a waiting Game until half of their roster is ready.

And add couple of shooters in the next year or two.

He’s a shell of what he once was so I don’t think he will move the needle all that much but it’s highly unlikely the rockets really regret it because we gave up basically nothing (though technically i guess if rockets had the 10th pick they could’ve gotten the insane pelicans trade, in which case the Durant trade is a potential catastrophe).

You can say all the bluster you want. He is gonna be mad about something likely his contract and he will cause a stink. Its who he is. Making fun of Jordan for leaving when his dad died. Fighting at 5am on X with fans and getting owned. Jumping from team to team not being a leader despite the money he's paid. His only chip came from stacking the deck on an already amazing warriors team. not being able to atleast make the play in with DBook and Bradley Beal. Watch Beal become useful in LA. He can shoot but thats it and his attitude stinks. We have young impressionable guys on our team. I wish Stone didnt do this. He needed us we didnt need him as much as people think. Yeah sure trade Jalen thats fine but not for a 37 year old that was stupid. We needed someone to score 19 -20 points to help sengun it didnt have to be KD. I pray it works out but even if it does I just dont like him on a personal level.

What are the spurs are going to contend for? If anything they are overrated. They have fell ass backwards into the first overall and 2nd overall pick and don’t have pop coaching them. They also haven’t made the playoffs in years

Durant can roll out bed 15 minutes before the game and have one hand on his phone making stupid ass tweets the whole time...and he will still be a significant upgrade over Greens unskilled soft ass.

If the Rockets would have traded Green and the 10th pick for salary relief and nothing else I still would have liked it. Spending one more day pretending Jalen Green is anything more than bench offense was bad for the franchise.
