I really hope we draft one of the top rated running backs in the draft next year. Mixon can't be relied on to stay healthy, and it sounds like Chubbs has lost his juice already. We need more youth, juice, and depth for our running game, and guys who don't have a history of injuries. It's been a long, long, long time since we drafted a RB who became a star player. I want one of those guys again!

I don't think that's happened even once in this franchise's history. Arian Foster was undrafted, what RB's have the Texans drafted that had great careers? A couple of decent seasons from Steve Slaton and Dominick Davis/Williams.

Remember when there was mutual interest between Texans and Saquon during 2024 free agency, but Texans offered 3yrs at $11mill per while Saquon wanted another million per and The Texans passed?……..yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh……

What sucks is most of the drafted RBs were really talented players whose careers were derailed with injuries very early on, Ben Tate and D'onta Foreman were a couple of other ones.

Saquon wouldn't be as good with our offensive line.

Sure, but Joe looked pretty good. Could only imagine what Saquon couldve done. Elite players are elite for a reason.

with our luck, saquon breaks down again and we all would go "well that was predictable"

And Derrick Henry was the cheapest of all 3, and most durable. Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

    DJ Bien:
"The pecking order for #Texans WRs as of right now. Nico Collins and Christian Kirk got the two top spots. Hutchinson appears to be the next guy up. But Higgins will rotate in there. Same with Jaylin Noel."

Does he me right right now or right now as in two weeks from now now, right now?

This is what I was saying on game day. Hutchinson was the 3rd WR almost exclusively with the first team

If I'm interpreting your question correctly, he means right now as of today but things could change based on the Thursday scrimmage.

No surprises with this. Bloggers on Twitter have indicated Hutch has really stepped it up in camp and he's earned WR3.

I really, really hope Gardner Johnson is ready to go game one..............have not heard one thing from J Ward. Glad to see Harris and Pierce practicing, I just wonder where Pierce will be slotted in, this has to be make or break year for him. I have not heard anything about Jaylen Petrie the entire camp
