Inflation is very low -- with the CPI including food & energy under 3.0%. That's a historically modest level of inflation. Under Biden, inflation soared to as high as 9%. We are still feeling the impact of his runaway deficits and profligate spending. At least with Trump, the rate of increase has slowed -- which is really all you can ask. There’s no pandemic this time causing inflation. Inflation was already decreasing under Biden then Trump until tariffs started kicking in. This time a rise inflation will be Trump’s fault and we finally reached the higher tier tariffs starting Aug 1st. We will see what the August numbers say a few weeks.
