“Well Weems, I have good or bad news for you - depending on how you look at it. You are finishing this game regardless of how you pitch. So - whatever, just get it done.” - Joker Joe Espada
when i started seeing "if the astros go ___ for the rest of the season to get 90 wins!" on twitter. i knew astros were cooked. it's a jinx.
All that's true that's why I say it's not impossible. I feel worst about this team more than years past because I don't trust the manager or a lot of the players this team will be counting on in any playoff scenario. The pitching has been the only truly legit thing about this team and it's holding on by a thread.
I mean if the Astros keep scoring zero runs then opponent runs don’t matter. Espada - losing 2/3 to the Orioles is unacceptable. It’s not like there isn’t a division race with some urgency or anything
I have to say I’m loving this whole melton experience. I’ve been betting against him since he was drafted and hoping I’m wrong. It’s reaching comical levels right now and if you are going to be bad be bad in a striking out 1/2 the time kind of way so I can be amused.
Yeah, I understand the frustration but it’s also the middle of August and we still have several key contributors set to return, including one of the best hitters in baseball. If Yordan is hitting like himself it significantly changes things. There’s no guarantee that’s going to happen though
If they were 7 or 8 games up in the division it’s okay but they aren’t. Melton starting? Sanchez batting cleanup?
Hunter Greene Adrian Houser Dylan Bundy Beau Burrows Ralph Garza Jr. Amir Garrett the list goes on and on
