    I view the Texans as a Super Bowl contender every year because I'm an idiot fan who loves to believe...until they do something stupid that screws everything up and makes me feel like I've wasted my time...but alas I'll be back to believing again this year...

    I'm going to say yes, but it's a tentative yes. Alot of variables on offense with a new OC/scheme, entirely revamped O-line, and alot of new faces in the receiver room.

    Even with CJ, while I fully believe he is the QB of the future for this franchise, how good is he exactly? Is he going to join the upper echelon guys like Pat, LJ, Burrow, Allen, or is he going to be more of a 2nd tier QB? If even just a couple of those variables break our way, then the answer likely goes from SB contenders to SB favorites

    Agree. I think we have a chance as long as Stroud stays healthy. Without him I don't have much hope. But, even with Stroud healthy we can't afford to have too many big injuries from our starters. I'm just hoping our guys can stay healthier than the past couple seasons.

    When you are likely to have one of the best defenses in the NFL and a QB as talented as we believe Stroud is, then you are a contender.

    Will it all come together? Who knows, but it wouldn't surprise anyone if it did.

    Everyone has hope in August :D. Ask again in week 4, and expect a downward trend in the hope meter as the season progresses.
