Astros are 16th in HR, 19th in Doubles and 26th in triples. The disastrous slugging is a big reason our offense struggles so badly. These are bad numbers for a team wanting to contend for WS title. Our alleged power hitting first baseman (-.04 WAR) (.693 OPS) and alleged hitting catcher (1.5 WAR) (.700 OPS) have to wear a fair amount of that.
Okay? What I said is that over the last 7 weeks they have been better than they were earlier in the season. in July and August Walker has an .820 OPS and Diaz has an OPS of .790…
What do you expect them to do with Parades? Trade him for a SP? Honestly I prefer his bat over Correa but obviously they're going to keep Correa now.
Diaz June 1 to now: 57G, 221 AB .267 .286 .448 .734 Walker June 1 to now: 60G, 230 AB .257 .324 .426 .750
Not really. I can go about my day and check the score here and there when I want instead of being glued to the tv watching them squander a lead they had no business doing. But we win in the end so good things happened in the game nobody wanted win
Went to the Astros team store the other day to return a t-shirt that was too small. I caved and bought a Billy Wagner 1999 jersey (road grey) that is sold out online. They accidently charged me for the shirt and refunded me for the jersey. Thanks universe. Lets get this dub.
But no mention of our "Aircraft Carrier" of a RF that has just as bad numbers (1.6/.694) and has been even worse the last two month than either of these two.
We didn’t come into the season expecting Cam to even make the team. There’s a huge difference between him and Walker/Diaz.
Not like Cam has been good so what does it matter. Melton sucks though. Never thought I’d be begging for Jake Meyers to return but here we are…
