"The White House says" - that is all anyone needs to read. The White House is and has been incredibly dishonest, they couldn't even report accurate numbers for crowd size at the inauguration. The White House thinks people are stupid, and enough people will believe anything they say. When facts do not fit their narrative they claim the facts are not accurate or there are "alternative facts", and when that doesn't work they get rid of those that report on the facts and hire someone else that will just lie about data so it fits their alternative facts.

None of this matters though - this is all a publicity stunt to detract from the fact that the President has been ineffective in foreign policy and his tariffs and economic policy has been unsuccessful as well. When objectively nothing positive is happening - Trump will do what he always does, try to create a diversion -- now it is him sending the national guard into areas that he doesn't like. Be it NYC, LA, San Francisco or DC.

I have a relative living in the south side of Chicago now. On guard, of course, about crime but mostly worried that deployment of national guard will just introduce another threat to contend with. Gotta worry about criminals and about cops, and now about guardsmen too.

 

Is this the beginning of the US becoming a military state led by an Authoritarian regime, with Trump's Attorney General in charge of the troops and police around the country?

Are we going to send troops to every big city with violence, every small city with violence, and all the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country? I think Trump has been testing the waters of his power and his Emergency Declarations on anything he chooses to do without congressional approval.

We have 450,000 National Guard troops. With Trump's threats of cities being policed by the National Guard we will need another 450,000 to be used as police enforcers just so we have 450,000 available to help in disasters at home and abroad.

What not just give more federal support to police, more recruiting bonuses, pay for more training, more cameras, and more tools to help cities do their jobs more efficiently? I think the answer is simple. Trump wants to be the enforcer, choosing his targets, even if they aren't the biggest threats to safety. It's just who he is.

 

Nook the WH just released a memo the other day claiming gas is under 2 dollars in multiple states.... lol not a single state has gas under 2 dollars. They lie about the dumbest **** and his cultists expect people to buy into it @ROXRAN

It's crazy when you think about the irony of Pam Bondi announcing that he is facing a felony assault charge for the sandwich strike, and has been fired from his DOJ role.

She works for a President who was charged with 34 felonies, and the felon himself pardoned the insurrectionists who not only beat and injured 150 Capitol police, with metal poles and fire extinguishers, but sprayed them with bear spray, gouged at their eyes, kicking them, crushing them, ripping off their gas masks, and so on. Compare that to throwing a sandwich.

 

Does it strike you as odd that a bookkeeping entry made by an accountant can somehow lead to "34 felonies" being charged against Trump? With each count being the first time a felony was ever used for the charge... and the charge was done in a deep blue jurisdiction with a hard core left learning judge and a jury that probably was 100% Democrat. Does that sound normal or fair to you? It sounded like political persecution to the rest of the country, as they completely ignored it and voted Trump for President.

Ironically it probably united the Republicans behind Trump due to how grossly unfair it was... which was enough support needed to win in November. What a backfire by the Democrats.
