There ya go. Yeah they wouldn't end a game after the top of the 5th if the home team was trailing.

Ball was hit too hard, the problem is Jackson has to realize that fact and not hesitate like he did and just go execute an unassisted double play.

    They won anyway.

    Suck it Mariners.

Imagine how ass the Mariners would be if they had even half our injury bad luck

The entire league is celebrating Astros health.

Astros are the Brewers, except the Astros could actually sustain a 105 win season... plus all of that playoff pedigree stuff.

(was funnier before they had to add 'parody' as too many idiots were taking it seriously... also, its not a jinx because I'm saying its not a jinx!)

Now that we have some down time tonight, do yourself a favor and go watch "No No: A Dockumentary" on Prime Video if you have it.

It's about the life of Dock Ellis and his infamous no hitter while on LSD.

Except Caratini is just as bad at throwing guys out, maybe worse.
They have stats for average lead and the like. The Astros are about the worst of the worst.

Astros 13-18 in their last 31.

Tigers trying to get to 12-18 in their last 30 games. Currently in extra innings.

I don’t know that I would go 80-90% on the pitchers - but I agree that it isn’t primarily on Diaz. The Astros organization has focused on the player in the box, not on base and in the past it hasn’t been an issue - but this is something Espada and company should have seen. I’m not a manager and I even pointed out that the running game was going to be more prominent in the league going forward.

I don’t expect them to change the focus from hitter to runner but I do expect M&M to make it more of a priority.

Not happening. I love Bregman but he isn’t coming back. Any financial wiggle room will go towards other positions. The Astros are going to be very aggressive trying to get an ace. They were very aggressive this year before the deadline trying to get one.

All this emphasis on an ace. And yet, Framber won’t be re-signed. It’s a shame.

You are being way too hard on this team. This team should be where the Orioles are with 15 players on the DL this year.

No - we aren’t good at stopping the run and it’s a real issue. We aren’t good at keeping the other team from scoring though and that’s more important.

We suck on the bases for the most part because we aren’t fast and Meyers and Altuve are just really bad at it. Melton is good enough on the bases to lead the league in steals - Matthews would steal 40 bags if he got on enough. We don’t want Cam running.

Just imagine them losing Cal Raleigh like we lost Yordan. Their season would be done.

I want Framber back - and I think the Astros genuinely want him back but not enough to break their rule and give him what he would get on the market. I find it sad because I genuinely believe Framber will not long term do as well with another organization. He is happy in Houston, he is very successful and has a great support system. It’s too bad the Astros won’t get close to what he will be offered - because if it were even within 20 million total of the highest offer, he should take it.

The Astros will trade for an ace, preferably under 2 or more years of control. Expect them to try and find someone close to breaking out and target him.

Yep none of that money is currently resulting in having an upper tier bullpen. Treinen was their hope coming back from injury and it has been bad. Maybe he gets back on track. Maybe. Scott was terrible before the injury. Yates is old, the lightning in that bottle the Rangers lucked out with has totally vanished. Vesia possibly gets it done but he's never been under that kind of pressure before in the playoffs.

Bottom line is after the 5th inning it's gonna be a crap shoot for the Dodgers. With starters like Snell, Ohtani, Yamamoto and Kershaw likely only giving you 5 innings (6 if you're very lucky), that's a problem.
