Damn some of y’all’s vaunted Mariners lineup really been tearing it up against that world class Orioles pitching staff lmao
Not realistic at all. Bregman isn't leaving his 40 million per for anything less than a big long term contract. The only reason the Correa trade happened was because of the NTC and Correa got his bag.
eugenio Suarez has been a sub 400 OPS disaster for Seattle offense. Naylor on the other hand is killing it with over 900 ops and weirdly 7 steals.
Think he had 11 steals in the first 10 games, LOL, he tied a franchise record for first baseman in 10 games True story
No, Diaz pop time is legitimately awful, he bears a lot of responsibility for it. Not only does he throw fewer runners out, but it's so conspicuous that teams run on us more to begin with. It's a real pickle.
this play reminds me so much of that particular "double" framber gave up against the Nats which allowed in a run. lefty batter yet the right field aligned closer to CF than RF. although holliday's hit was pulled a lot more than the Nats' hit.
I’ve been on record several times here saying I bet Suarez goes back there and isn’t great. Naylor doing well doesn’t surprise me though - he regularly came up with big hits for Cleveland.
Is there any aspect to the process of preventing runners from stealing bases that is worth a crap with this team? I swear we don't spend any time on this. We hired a yahoo as our 3rd base coach, we don't hold players accountable for awful base running, we are almost strictly a Station to Station team. There is a lot not to like about how this team operates. Our record when we don't hit a HR must be abysmal. Really amazing we are in first place with a chance at a bye.
Maybe someone can remember this. I want to say this was much earlier in the season and an MLB game got through only the top of the 5th. The road team was winning maybe 1-0 or 2-1 (definitely a small lead). The home team didn't even get the same innings of ABs and the game was declared a final. I was floored. Anybody remember this?
Not very realistic at all. The only way I can even see a chance is if he suffers a serious injury this season and picks up his option and the Red Sox somehow don’t see him being worth the remaining commitment and are willing to trade him and eat money, and want something back that the Astros are offering. The odds of that happening are not absolute zero, but they’re closer to 0% than 1%. But really I love the position players the Astros have lined up for next season and I don’t think Bregman is necessary.
That’s not possible as it has to be 5 innings completed to be called. Are you sure you aren’t remembering the Astros White Sox game?
That's what I thought and what I may be misrembering is that is was after the top of the 6th that it was called. But I definitely remember the score was close.
Must have been the 6th inning then. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t matter if they haven’t had the same number of ABs…just the fact it’s through 5 innings
A game is considered a regulation game -- also known as an "official game" -- once the visiting team has made 15 outs (five innings) and the home team is leading, or once the home team has made 15 outs regardless of score. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/rules/regulation-game
Orioles bullpen is straight ass. We are missing their only good starter. There’s no excuse not to take at least two of these games this weekend.
