I can already see a miscast. That one guy should have been Jon Bon Jovi. Don't tell me you didn't think at first, when that blonde character appeared, that wasn't Jon Bon!
I certainly did not expect the two-episode premiere to be 2h45m long. For me, it was quite a slog but I'll probably continue watching. Spoiler I didn't find any of the main characters remotely interesting.
Watched the first two episodes. IMO the series is a little disjointed. There’s some cool stuff here and good characters. However it’s kind of a mess. The mood and tone also is all over the place. Without spoiling anything I’ll just note that there are scenes where you are in the middle of what’s supposed to be this big horror moment and in the middle of that randomly there is this bizarre comedy moment with a group of people they literally open the door on. Then there is the credits where they randomly throw in rock songs that feel so out of place for the scene you just finished with. I think this series probably would have been better being a blade runner show imo, and then maybe let the Alien part of it be a mystery element that lurks over the series till the end. Because the AI elements of the show are clearly where the writers and director want to be. And with the Alien world, it works best in a movie format because in a show you are cutting in and out of different storylines and characters while in a movie you can ratchet up the suspense element for 2 hours in an effective way. With a show it just kinda doesn’t work the same way. But I def think this show is worth continuing to watch for sure. There’s a lot here to enjoy. Just might be too disjointed to say it’s the greatest thing ever.
That is coach Taylor's daughter playing Wendy. Do the civilians on Earth know that there are aliens in other planets? Earth looks looks normal. Thought it would look different from the ending of Alien Resurrection. I liked it. It didn't feel like slow burn. Definitely need a timeline for all of the events.
That poor guy at the end. Something tells me he'll be okay. I think it's pretty good. Could be a lot worse. It gave me original movie vibes with the sets. Wasn't this before "Alien" happened in the timeline? It feels like after. But, they didn't know about the "Alien" incident for a while right because Ripley was in cryo for...what...50 years or something?
Kind of a weird time line It's ok . . .not too much of anything yet Started me having more questions . . . Rocket River
I enjoyed it, first episode was a lot of set up and the second really started moving things quickly. I like the set up of a competing corporation to WY working on separate tech, allow for them to tell their own story and expand from there. Really looking forward to the rest of the season...
