As of today bye bye Nico. Long term I think he has a shot to be better than Hop if he can stay healthy.
My point was that getting back to 100% health includes the very activity which could cause further injury. Think dimmer switch instead of an on/off switch. And the timing simply cannot account for all variables.
Based solely on camp reports, entering the season you’d have to feel good to great about the defense while having all kinds of questions on the offensive side of the ball (especially at O-line & RB, though there are no guarantees that our (2) rookie wideouts will perform at a high level in season or whether Stroud will look more 2023 than 2024). Whether or not The Texans’ ceiling is another division title w/ an early exit or a “true” AFC contender in the likes of KC, BUFF, BALT will depend on the offense making huge strides over last season. I know there have been “exceptions” in the past where a truly elite DEF carries a franchise to a SB in spite of offensive limitations, but that’s really not the norm. The O-line’s going to be what it’s going to be at this point. I think the Texans really need Mixon (last year’s Mixon) along w/ significant strides in the passing game to take that next step (sounds like Chubb unsurprisingly isn’t IT, and while rookies are always unknown potential at RB, I’m not expecting Marks to wow us. Pierce is a backup). It really feels like Texans need to go dumpster-diving after final cuts at the RB position. Perhaps someone like Eli Mitchell gets cut in crowded KC backfield (use those Niners ties?).
I remember when you could get a family of 4 into an Astros game for $1.50. Not each, the whole family.
