For the last 100 years, Democrats have touted being superior to Republicans. They alleged to being about the lower class and promoting socialist programs. But we all know socialism increases the poverty pool - They do not help the middle class. The more poor people, the more power Democrats have. They have no incentive to help people into middle class. Its pretty evil, TBH

These Are the Voters Who Should Scare Democrats Most
Working-class Americans who until recently voted Democratic said the party should not count on a backlash to President Trump to win them back. Still, there were pockets of opportunity.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/12/...e_code=1.dk8.JRRV.kAh47Uem5hjn&smid=url-share

    excerpt:

Now, Democrats hope to bring these voters back into the fold for the midterm elections in 2026, betting on a backlash to Mr. Trump and his party’s far-reaching moves to slash the social safety net.

But in interviews with nearly 30 predominantly working-class voters who supported Mr. Biden in 2020 before defecting or struggling deeply with their choices last year, many had a stinging message for the Democratic Party.

Just because we have misgivings about Mr. Trump, they say, it doesn’t mean we like you.

“I think I’m done with the Democrats,” said Desmond Smith, 24, a deli worker from Smithdale, Miss., and a Black man who said he backed Mr. Biden in 2020 at the height of the racial justice protests. But last year, disillusioned by what he saw as the party’s overemphasis on identity politics and concerned about illegal immigration, he voted for Mr. Trump.

Asked how Democrats could win him back, he said, “Fight for Americans instead of fighting for everybody else.”

The manipulation of low info Democrat voters (many post frequently here!) will be much harder now that USAID is no longer propping up so much left-leaning propaganda, the intel agencies are not organized to sabotage Trump, and the media landscape has shifted a little but more towards the center as mainstream media is dying and consumption patterns change. If the voter rolls get cleaned up, voter integrity is established, and only no illegals count in the census, then the Democrats are cooked for years. So many lies and deceptions overinflated Democrats power over the last 20 years... Trump is restoring the will of the people by uprooting these dishonest power grabs. Democracy restored.

Of course in the mid terms it’ll be tough to get Biden to Trump voters to come back to vote Democrat. Especially judging that shift when Trump is only 1/2 a year into his first term, and none of those voters know who their individual congressional and senate candidates will be next November most likely.

There’s no reason to think that this early those voters have had some sort of moment of clarity or regret. People often never admit they were wrong on anything ever.

The easiest way to win those voters will likely be looking for candidates who are more seen as outsiders or speak to more populist ideas that they don’t see in the caricature stereotypes that Fox News tells these type of voters of what to expect in a Democrat.

In the midterms it’ll be all about individual candidate quality along with the favorability of Trump driving down turnout with his base and driving up turnout on the other side which will definitely be there to vote. The base dem voter will show up and give any dem candidate a high floor. Individual candidate quality will drive independent or low information lean right voters to make that switch and that’ll be the swing needed.

2028 is a whole other story. The candidate that emerges will largely drive the favorability of the party and likely reshape it for the foreseeable future. We have no idea what 2028 is going to look like and obviously the NYT barely understands anything about 2026.

Damn, talking about tone deaf. Let me help you because you are lost just like the rest of the woke sheep in here. It’s not about who is running but it’s about your policies. You Dems have nothing but tried and true failures when it comes to your policies. Nobody is buying your bullshiit anymore so good luck in winning another election. Lol

The Democratic Party is hideously unpopular heading into next year's midterms. This is a problem for the small faction of Democrats who think the party should prioritize winning elections over throwing performative tantrums and other theater kid nonsense. It's less of a problem for the Democrats who are actually leading the party right now and setting the agenda for 2026. They are loud, obnoxious, profane, and passionate in their defense of illegal immigrants and other criminals. Rules? They don't believe in rules.

"There are no refs in this game," said Beto O'Rourke, the thrice-failed candidate for governor, president, and U.S. Senate, at a rally in support of Texas Democrats who fled the state to avoid doing their jobs. "**** the rules, we are going to win. Whatever it takes." O'Rourke has emerged as one of the Democratic Party's most prominent leaders after his political action committee paid for the private jet that took the fleeing Democrats to Illinois earlier this month. This week, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton asked a judge to order Beto's arrest after the obnoxious Columbia grad violated a court order by continuing to raise money to support the fugitives.

O'Rourke, who flamed out of the 2020 primary after yelling profanely about abolishing guns, has also urged Democrats to fight harder in defense of the illegal immigrant community "that makes this country so ******* great." When Democrats reclaim power, he said, they would "drive that car like we stole it" to end deportations and approve a sweeping amnesty bill for unlawful residents.

It's a message echoed by some of the most fashionable Democratic candidates across the country. Zohran Mamdani, the widely celebrated radical socialist vying to be the next mayor of New York City, has vowed to block federal immigration agents from operating in the city and described his efforts to secure taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants as one of his "greatest victories." Omar Fateh, another radical socialist running for mayor of Minneapolis, recently said one of his top priorities would be protecting "our undocumented residents" from a "hostile federal government."

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D., Texas), the potty-mouthed diva who has become a rising star thanks to her public tantrums and phony accent, has argued that illegal immigration was "not a crime." She most recently went viral for calling Donald Trump a "piece of ****" on her nationwide publicity tour. Vulnerable Democrats are enlisting Crockett to help them raise money for the midterms. Antonio White, a former Treasury official in the Obama and Biden administrations, penned an op-ed in The Hill this week urging Democratic leaders to follow Crockett's lead. "She is the base. She is the moment," he wrote. "Whether you like her delivery or not, she's speaking a language people understand—and that's exactly what this party needs."
