I think Caserio knows that building the trenches is critical to winning and he has invested a lot in both lines. He has not done well with the offensive line despite the high draft picks, trades and salary investment. I hope Calley and Popovich can help him make better informed decisions in the offensive line.
Fisher’s already a bust? That’s disappointing. Is it just a technical issue or he is just not physically good enough to play RT?
Right... so Christian Harris, Tank Dell, Will Anderson, CJ Stroud, Nico Collins, Jalen Pitre, Callen Bullock, Kamari Lassiter. Please stfu.
Man was I wrong. Thought Fisher would come out swinging and not let some rookie take his spot. Settle commented on Ersey's fiery enthusiasm. Terminator said something similar and Meco has brought him up. Goes to show you underprepared that line was headed into Arrowhead last season.
I thought that also, hopefully Fisher can get back on track, he was OK at times last year but considering the coaching I was going to give him a pass..........or maybe Ersery is just that much better
I expect Ersery to be really good. Popovich is regarded as a great coach and the kid is going up against elite pass rushers every day. It’s just not a surprise he did well against lesser competition. I also wouldn’t give up on Fisher. He is younger than Ersery and spent a whole year learning football from Strausser and Slowik. It’s going to take some time but the potential is certainly there for Fisher as well.
I hope he is good. We are usually terrible at drafting OL under Caserio...hopefully Ersery is the outlier.
I think he knocked it out of the park with this one. I’m also not as down on Fisher as everyone seems to be. Fans want instant gratification. OL’s take time to gel and players don’t usually play mistake free for several years. Hopefully Cam and/or Trent will help us weather the storm until this line can gel.
A healthy Robinson and Howard/Ersery at RG/RT would be optimal. Running behind the right side of the OL would become common place. Andrews also really impressed me yesterday. A big upgrade IMHO.
Usually with an NFL off-season in hand an OL will get better, not worse in their 2nd year. Fisher has a lot to prove. So far it's not promising. His feet are slow.
Yea, it's so odd Fisher has taken a step back this year, its very uncharacteristic for a player under Ryan`s to get worse...............you never know what's happening in a person's life or what struggles there going through, but the young man needs to do a 180 before he ends up on the street.
