For those looking at the WC race: 65-52 ----- Astros (Division leader) 65-53 0.5 Red Sox WC1 64-53 1.0 Mariners WC2 62-55 3.0 Yankees WC3 61-55 3.5 Guardians OUT 60-58 5.5 Rangers OUT We do not own the tiebreaker vs the Guardians, so they need to start losing and fast. Likely won't own the tiebreaker vs the Red Sox. We own the tiebreaker with the Yankees with a win tomorrow. The importance of the game tomorrow cannot be overstated.
Normally I’d be frustrated with how the team has been playing as of late. But man, it’s hard to not blame injuries right now. I’m proud of how this team has fought all year long. Hopefully we still have some magic left and the main pieces get healthy, but I won’t go on a tantrum acting like we are in full health and just not playing well.
You whiny negative ass b****es need to chill. Astros have Red Sox, Orioles, Tigers, Orioles, Rockies, Angels, Yankees, Rangers, Blue Jays, Braves, Rangers, Mariners, A’s, Angels series remaining after today. Mariners have Orioles, Mets, Phillies, A’s, Padres, Gaurdians, Rays, Braves, Cards, Angels, Royals, Astros, Rockies, Dodgers
Imagine being happy the Astros lose so you can come in here and be ‘right’. What a shitty way to live. (Especially when your favorite team in Seattle is still in 2nd place and therefore not in the ‘driver’s seat’ by definition.)
Because they're not. It wouldn't have been unreasonable to say the Tigers were the one team in the drivers seat for their division but look at the red hot Guardians within 5 games. The Mariners will finally go on a long roadtrip now after wrapping up a TEN game home stand where they made up ground playing the White Sox and Rays. They are good at home and a .500 team on the road.
point taken but that remaining schedule for the Astros doesn’t give me warm feelings given our tendencies to play down to the competition (and we seem to keep catching every team on a hot streak) going to be a fun end of the season
S So having an easy schedule doesn’t give you a warm and fuzzy. Would you feel better if we had the hardest schedule? Overall you’re just being negative, which is understandable given our play as of late.
Please stop the bleeding and come back home tomorrow. Bought my seats 5 mins after trade was announced. 8th row behind 3rd base!
Yet you managed to do it. I wonder how many times this season you've proclaimed games of critical importance and then they lost and nothing horrible happened and they just moved on. So just to be clear, if they lose today, the season's over?
“easy” We got swept by a hot Red Sox team. Orioles could easily take 4 of 6. Tigers are tigers. We lost one to the Rockies already. Yankees are still decent. We struggled against the rangers last series, blue jays arguably the best team right now. As swept us last 4 game series. Braves who the hell knows. Should beat up on the angels but limited by poor managing/continued untimely hitting. anyways yes I’m the sure the data shows I’m being overly negative which evidently is a federal crime here now. Hoping for the best though and wouldn’t surprise me at all if Astros suddenly go on a tear. Like I said going to be a fun but possibly frustrating end to the season!
We have the 24th hardest schedule left, so yeah, I think being negative about the schedule is silly. I get the negativity though. We have been playing poorly for quite a while. I think fans, myself included, sometimes kind of get overly negative in order to hedge against disappointment. We are incredibly fortunate to have a baseball organization asdedicated to being competitive year in and year out. What would it be like to be a Pirates or Marlins fan? Sorry if I was rude.
