This reminds me of a conversation I had with some white folks where they complained their kids couldn’t get into UT because all the Indian (dot not feather)/Asian kids are dominating the top 6 percent and taking all the spots.

I said, well, your kids are taking up all the spots on the baseball team right?

Their response - well my kid has played ball since they were four years old, trained their asses off, and deserve those spots on the team

My response - those Indian/Asian kids have been studying since they were four, studying their asses off, and deserve those spots at UT.

Their response - it’s just different. They’re taking all the spots at UT.

That's like asking by me if I'd rather have a drug trafficker set free to arrest buyers or street sellers. No, I would rather the drug trafficking boss be locked up, and would never prefer to see the person recruiting, grooming, and trafficking the kids go free to arrest their clients. I don't know what your evidence is of south asians contributing higher than americans, it isn't my observation at all. When I hear about awesome immigrants it's Sergey Brin or Musk or Peter Thiel or Peterffy. That doesn't justify immigrating a million Indians to depress skilled american workers salaries like Vivek Ramaswamy was trying to do.

What I've seen is pushback regarding Indian companies who rig the lottery season to get a disproportionately high allocation of H1B's. It's meant to be random but it isn't. Otherwise skilled labor is always going to be in demand but when you cheat systems put in place, people have a right to be vocal.

I'm torn between this and there's no right answer IMHO, however getting as many pedos as possible off of the streets and in jail should be the goal. Being rich has nothing to do with accomplishing these goals. It would be cruel to put the victims through what you want IMHO.

 

I spend 5 minutes in any law office or big oil conference room in the Woodlands, and I can find a half dozen guys who are mad about UT admissions. They are the same dudes who spend thousands for their kids private batting or pitching lessons, $400 bats, and their kids spend every free hour on baseball.

I find it is more prevalent in Montgomery county when I go for meetings there, but it exists to some degree in the inner loop as well. But more folks seem to understand the realities of admissions works inside the loop.

You don’t know what the f-ck you’re talking about. Nor does @Salvy, who probably never set foot on a college campus or professional/white collar setting.

At least those dudes are right about one thing, the top 6 percent auto admit at UT is heavily dominated by Indian/Asian kids at most metropolitan high schools.
