I’ll raise my hand and say I’m somewhat of a draft junky, all (3) days, and I barely remembered the Texans drafting Mertz until seeing him on the field eliciting a “Who?…..oh yeah…..that guy” when he entered the game

I thought Ersery/Andrews looked really good.

    Fisher not so much.

Watch the Netflix doc just released about the SEC. He’s on the Gators episode, seems like a really good leader. I enjoyed watching the way he interacts with the team, but def he’s a career backup.

Not that I’m surprised but Mills looked good. He’s a solid, serviceable backup and that’s reassuring.

Dare is the Texans version of Dubon. He’s gonna hang around till he’s 43 years old playing every position on offense and special teams.

I think the pattern is that we knock Richardson out of the game while up 10 points then a scrub comes in and beats us. They win several more games in a row, AR comes back and leads them back to .500, one game short of the playoffs. The scrub then gets picked up in the off-season by a team desperate for a starting QB.

Not looking like they are drunk had me laughing. I think stoned is probably the better description with a couple of those guys.

He played in college for 12 years, now he's going for 27 in the pros. I don't know the actual numbers, but I'm probably close.

In the, "way too early to tell" over reaction Monday I will say the first drive looked efficient and clean. Barrios and Ersery stand out to me as well as Speed on D. WTF has happened to Blake Fisher, he seems to have taken two steps back this year and I was really high on him............I think the drop by Metchie (albeit a hard catch) may have cost him, the comp is super tight and I don't think he has the X factor although he had a few catches. Pre-Season games are hard to watch after the 1st quarter but hopefully the coaches got the film they need. My sphincter effect is much lower now when thinking about the O Line, they weren't great, but they were OK and at this point I will take the progress. Cant wait to see the first team take a series and see what they can do....................not gonna lie, I am a little nervous about CJ and his new ownership of the Offense, it will take him awhile to make the pre snap calls without "thinking" too much and just letting the game come to him. I do think our D is going to top 3 this year.............but HEALTH will play a big factor

Anyone know why cj didn't play even though plenty of first team QBs got run last week?
