Bro, Tarkington had no help? He played with awesome teams that went to 4 Superbowls and ended up 10 HOFers from that era (HC, GM, Tark, Page, Eller, Marshall, Krause, Foreman, Yary and Tingelhoff) from that era. There is no comparison between Archie's and Fran's teams. I know we're fellow old guys, but you're not remembering that one correctly my friend.
I like the Rams a lot and I'm a fan of both Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford. I think it would be great if the Rams represented the NFC in the Super Bowl. It really pains me to read Stafford has a disc problem. That said, I want him to be healthy the rest of the season after missing game 1.
The trades for other vets get us all hyped up, only for injuries to wag the finger at us Mutombo style.
What would be the likely scenario if Gardner-Johnson is out for an extended time (and we don't sign someone else)? Does Pitre move back to more of a strong safety and we have someone else be nickle more often? Does a rookie step up? I don't even know who would be considered 2nd string behind him right now. Edit: I went back and looked at the depth chart that was released a day or two ago. Looks like some dude named MJ Stewart. That doesn't sound great.
