So I see in the Yankee series we are finally going Brown and Valdez back to back for the first time since very early in the season. Sunday is TBD. Yankee rotation Schittler Gil (first game off IL) Fried (been subpar for about a month now) They say when you bring out the lineup card, they refer to it as Schittler's List.
yeah I remember his name in my old 1984 edition of the Elias Baseball Encyclopedia. That’s also where I discovered 3 finger brown and many others. By 1988 that book was shredded and beaten to ****. I had to get the 1989 version.
They did say he seemed “ready” after the last start. The injury list update said that was likely his last rehab start. edit: I’m guessing Dana may have gotten mixed messages from his staff.
He was not very efficient in that last start so I’m sure in a perfect world they’d give him another rehab start to try to work it out. But rusty Javier is probably better than refined Tyler Ivey or some Blubaugh-less bullpen game where they try to get 6 innings out of Neris, Okert, Hernandez, and Contreras.
