Yep. Just have to line up the rotation, Blubaugh was the most logical guy to send down for Spencer today.

I would allocate playoff shares for all of the space cowboys at this point. Up and down 59 all summer long.

Boston has won 10 of their last 12. Maybe getting swept by them was just a case of us running into the hottest team in the league.

What hasn't been talked about is Cam's splits

He has an 899 OPS vs LHP and 647 vs RHP

Absolutely 100% he needs to be developed to play every single day. But right now it's winning time, I would have him in a platoon with Sanchez, and on days he doesn't start he could be a bat off the bench when they bring in a lefty

I generally agree with everything you said

But the bad out he ran into at 3B was all Perezchica, I remember watching the replay and as he was rounding 2B he was staring right at Perezchica not the ball, so while we couldn't see Perezchica on camera it's pretty obvious he was telling him to come on

Mauricio Dubon kills lefties. Chas McCormick kills lefties historically (who knows this year, he barely plays). There are other short side of platoon options on the roster, if the team wants to make sure he plays every day at AAA. He's sort of wasted on the big league squad playing 30% of the time.

And I don't think that sending him down in that scenario is just service time manipulation. If you've decided he shouldn't play every day. I'm not sure that slumping Cam is worse than Trammell, who seems to be coming back down to earth himself (3 for his last 22, 9k, 3 walks, one xbh).

    No hitter alert for Cleveland

    Related....
Jose Altuve holds the modern-day record of most no-hitters participated in with one team at seven.

Chas only has 22 at bats against them this year, but has been meh. I'm really surprised he wasn't moved at the deadline cause I can't imagine his playing time is suddenly going to go up, and without regular playing time its hard to see him help much (he is 4-27 lifetime as a pinch hitter)

Hopefully Cam gets it going soon, i'd be absolutely shocked if the Astros sent him down

They've been bouncing Cam all over the lineup. I know he kills lefties, but as we get healthy, slot him somewhere and leave him be. He'll compete for batting titles one day.

Yep. I mentioned this in another post. With Meyers and Yordan out, they're stretched a little thin in the OF right now. But once Yordan is back, they absolutely need to platoon Smith & Sanchez in RF, if for no other reason than to give Smith breaks. But also, their splits are screaming for it - and there's exactly zero harm in putting Smith in situations where he's likely to succeed.

Perezchica sucks ass. How many times have we scored running through his stop sign? How many times has he made bad sends?

I asked ChatGPT to compare De Los Santos to Neris and Presley. It's response : "Why?"

    Mariners 1.5 behind.

    Is Yordan still on earth?

The one vs the Phillies in the WS
    The one vs the Yankees

That's 5. No idea if the other 2 were also a combined no hitter.

Maybe Keuchel? Don't see him throwing one. Probably pre-2017, though.

    Looking it up.

Ah, remember Sanchez we got from Toronto, really erratic pitcher? He was part of a combined effort.

Oh and tragically the other is Fiers. Yikes.
