What was the rationale for sending Blubaugh back down? I guess they are good with Gordon and Alexander. Seems like we could have used him as our long relief guy.

I think they assumed Javier would be ready and thus wanted the extra bullpen arm. I think it was a miscalculation but based on Espada’s comment today I think they have decided to go ahead and let Javier come back and hope for the best.

He's already improved at what you're talking about. He hasn't been swinging as much at outside breaking balls. Only outside fastballs, which is why his avg has been going up and he's been hitting the ball harder.
