for those that won't click on the tweet to read it - here's the rest of the body

The report also comically distorts the papers they managed to cite, sometimes to the point where the citation actually says the exact opposite of what it is used in support of. And to whatever degree the citations are accurate, they are often cherry-picked from a fringe finding that goes against the overwhelming body of literature (yes the RCTs in humans show X, but have you considered this mechanistic study that found Y, the literature results are "conflicting".

This is literally the antivax MO - they do this type of distortion constantly with papers. I remember when Peter McCollough was in our studio and cited a Swedish study..so I researched the study and found that the authors of the study literally had already refuted Peter McCollough in the media - but he was still incorrectly citing it. I've also seen Pierre Korey cite a study on twitter only to have the author of that study tweet back that he was drawing an incorrect conclusion from their study.

40% cut in Cancer Research :(

Part of a reorientation that slashed federal health spending, the president proposed chopping funding at the National Cancer Institute by more than $2.7 billion, nearly a 40 percent decrease, drawing a sharp rebuke from cancer research supporters.

Here is a long-ish video where RFK Jr gets fact checked hard wrt the science that he is now in charge of ...

This is what happen when you elect a know nothing POTUS. He appoints people to leader positions who are grossly unqualified.

Waiting for the Mad King Don ass kissers to say ... Trump is only doing what he promised. In the name of the MAHA slogan, Trump is seeing how many people he can kill on his watch. Did Trump promised that?

I'm including just one example from this article with the attached link. There are many examples of reasons to be concerned about the cuts to research, safety, cutting regulations, and more with Trump and his medically unqualified puppet in charge of our health....

It was a surreal moment for Susanne Brander.

She was sitting in the audience at a conference in April as Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke about the health effects of exposure to harmful chemicals in our food, air and water.

As she listened, Kennedy cited recent research on microplastics from researchers in Oregon, finding these tiny particles had shown up in 99% of the seafood they sampled.

"It was definitely our study," says Brander, an ecotoxicologist at Oregon State University who co-authored the research along with a team at Portland State University.

The problem was, just an hour earlier while in line for breakfast, an email had popped into her inbox notifying her that a federal grant she'd relied on to fund her research for years — from the Environmental Protection Agency — was being terminated.

Her research, the letter explained, no longer aligned with the agency's priorities. And now here was the standard-bearer of the Trump administration's Make America Healthy Again, or MAHA, agenda elevating her work.

"I was baffled and incredibly frustrated," she recalls. "It feels like they are promoting the field while ripping out the foundation."

These stumblebums visited a Level 4 bio-hazard lab and a day later Noem is rushed to the hospital for an "allergic reaction." I don't think any of them know enough to "inspect" anything at Fort Detrick.

RFK, Jr is ending 22 mRNA projects by withdrawing $500 million in HHS funding.

This is literally insane. Mengele mentality, but now we are doing "experiments" on the whole of society.

mRNA research brought us COVID vaccines quickly and has enormous potential for fighting a myriad of diseases, including cancer and future pandemics. For example, one mRNA project was close to a vaccine for colon cancer and another showed huge possibilities for pancreatic cancer. Other avenues of research include MS, diabetes, stroke recovery, heart disease, and even arthritis. It has already saved millions of lives from COVID and will save millions more in the next pandemic. It won a Nobel Prize a couple of years ago. It's the most revolutionary medical technology in our lifetime by far. And we are killing it in this country--killing fifty years of taxpayer investment that got mRNA to this point.

The national security risks of us abandoning this research are immense and innumerable. Like, nightmare fuel kind of stuff.

The scientists working on this will certainly be heavily recruited by other countries. It's not something you stop and start up again in four years. When the excrement hits the fan--as it will--we'll be paying a ton for what we desperately need and we'll rightly be one of the last in line for vaccine distribution. Instead of saving lives, we just shortened the average lifespan in this country and condemned a bunch of us here and in other countries, including our kids and grandkids, to an unnecessary early death.

The psychic wound of just being asked having to sacrifice a little personal comfort for the safety of the community you live in was just too much for MAGA and they are destroying our scientific future and encouraging cancer because of it. RFK, Jr is one of the most damaged and deranged people on the planet, as is the person who put him in that job and everyone who voted to confirm him.

This is one of the most idiotic, far-reaching, things that the Trump Administration has done.

    Who is actually supporting this?

These ****ers won't stop even when people die...

    Associated Press

August 6, 2025 - The Department of Health and Human Services will cancel contracts and pull funding for some vaccines that are being developed to fight respiratory viruses like COVID-19 and the flu.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced in a statement Tuesday that 22 projects, totaling $500 million, to develop vaccines using mRNA technology will be halted.

Kennedy’s decision to terminate the projects is the latest in a string of decisions that have put the longtime vaccine critic’s doubts about shots into full effect at the nation’s health department. Kennedy has pulled back recommendations around the COVID-19 shots, fired the panel that makes vaccine recommendations, and refused to offer a vigorous endorsement of vaccinations as a measles outbreak worsened.
    ...
Infectious disease experts say the mRNA technology used in vaccines is safe, and they credit its development during the first Trump administration with slowing the 2020 coronavirus pandemic. Future pandemics, they warned, will be harder to stop without the help of mRNA.

“I don’t think I’ve seen a more dangerous decision in public health in my 50 years in the business,” said Mike Osterholm, a University of Minnesota expert on infectious diseases and pandemic preparations.

He noted mRNA technology offers potential advantages of rapid production, crucial in the event of a new pandemic that requires a new vaccine.

The shelving of the mRNA projects is short-sighted as concerns about a bird flu pandemic continue to loom, said Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine expert at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

“It’s certainly saved millions of lives,” Offit said of the existing mRNA vaccines.

Scientists are using mRNA for more than infectious disease vaccines, with researchers around the world exploring its use for cancer immunotherapies. At the White House earlier this year, billionaire tech entrepreneur Larry Ellison praised mRNA for its potential to treat cancer.

Traditionally, vaccines have required growing pieces of viruses, often in chicken eggs or giant vats of cells, then purifying that material. The mRNA approach starts with a snippet of genetic code that carries instructions for making proteins. Scientists pick the protein to target, inject that blueprint and the body makes just enough to trigger immune protection — producing its own vaccine dose.

In a statement Tuesday, HHS said “other uses of mRNA technology within the department are not impacted by this announcement.”

The mRNA technology is used in approved COVID-19 and RSV shots, but has not yet been approved for a flu shot. Moderna, which was studying a combination COVID-19 and flu mRNA shot, had said it believed mRNA could speed up production of flu shots compared with traditional vaccines.

The abandoned mRNA projects signal a “shift in vaccine development priorities,” the health department said in its statement, adding that it will start “investing in better solutions.”

“Let me be absolutely clear, HHS supports safe, effective vaccines for every American who wants them,” Kennedy said in the statement.

Speaking hours later Tuesday at a news conference in Anchorage, Alaska, alongside the state’s two Republican U.S. senators, Kennedy said work is underway on an alternative.

He said a “universal vaccine” that mimics “natural immunity” is the administration’s focus.

“It could be effective — we believe it’s going to be effective -- against not only coronaviruses, but also flu,” he said.

If Covid never happened, I would be in disbelief. But this country showed its ass big time in 2019.

The same research and innovation is involved in cancer (colon/prostate/etc) treatment, heart disease, diabetes, etc....

Maybe when their kids die of measles or get crippled by polio they'll start paying attention.

Maybe, but likely not. There's a lot of evidence that they will not change. It definitely has to be THEIR kids though. Other kids getting shot in schools, dying of disease, and such just don't register with these folks.

I wouldn't even give the cult that much credit. There were cult members dying of COVID and claiming to their death that COVID was a hoax, and only the flu. So, if their kids are gunned down in schools, die of preventable diseases, or stuff like that, don't expect them to change. Cult mentality tragedies, rapes, and abuses that are common in cults have shown that the kids aren't as important as their parents standing by their cult leader.
