You just know you have zero - literally zero - basketball IQ, when you say with a straight face Jalen Green could shoot straight.

Herp derp the best ft shooter. Shame he was so scared of contact he barely went to the line.

    I don't know what's worse.

This rhetoric that Jalen was a gym rat and had great work ethic.

Or if it was actually true, and he literally improved not one iota offensively in four years in the league.

Truly hilarious, whichever one is true.

What does him being scared of contact have anything to do with him shooting straight?

You dont know the diff and J'm the one with zer bball IQ? lmao

It seems you captain Rhetoric here but the reality is Jalen shot 81% from ft and 35.5% from 3. It doesnt matter what kinda crap goes out of your mouth it doesnt change reality.

Ah ok so he couldnt veto the trade, I thought he could since the trade wouldnt work if he got his full amount. However he could get more if he was traded to another team so he could have said No to PHX and tell them he is dipping after 2 yrs.

You said Jalen's worth wasnt distorted and it was originally that low. His value is super low now lots of people even view him as a negative contract. If he was always seen as a negative contract he wouldnt have even been extended you get that right?

Jalen's playoff performance did distort his value just like March Jalen also distorts his value. Jalen is a very inconsistent player he is the same guy who won WC player of the week several times but also played like ass in the playoffs. At the end of the day given his age and potential I think he will still be considered a top 5 talent in his class once he hits his prime.

Anyway to bring it back to KD on the KD trade he had a "minor" thumb surgery. The FO is saying they arent concerned about it but that may just be PR fluff. The good news is it seems to be on his non shooting hand and he was already playing with the injury at times last year.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.papercitymag.com/culture/kevin-durant-thumb-surgery-houston-rockets-trade-nba-rafael-stone/?amp

A thumb injury usually lasts a couple months IIRC Jabari also had a hand injury and he was out like 3 mos. If all goes well KD should be ok by start of season but he will prob be rusty if he stopped shooting due to the injury.

They don't have anything to do with one another.

The fact you thought that after reading my post says everything we need to know.

Maybe that low IQ runs deeper outside of basketball.

If they dont have anything to do with one another why are you even mentioning that after claiming I'm dumb if I thought Jalen can shoot straight? Thats just irrelevant to the conversation and a strawman.

I didn't think that, YOU thought that because thats the only way you think you can justify your outright wrong comment. The ridiculous thing is you are the one who made the wrong post, and then somehow you think I'm the one with the low IQ. Shooting 81% ft and 35.5% from 3 means the guy cant shoot straight? Look in the mirror bud.

You are someone who needs a guy you need to hate no matter what, first Harden, then Jalen. Now both those two are gone wonder who your new whipping boy will be now? Maybe KD if something happens to him amirite? Or maybe Amen or Sengun if they continue to shoot bad? What a great "fan" lmao.

Anyone getting a little concerned they have yet to finalize an extension for KD? I had assumed they had one worked out with him before the trade.

Handshake agreement probably. It’s still the offseason and I bet it officially happens soon.

There were reports that KD was willing to take less than the max extension at this point in his career. I think the team is trying to work on Tari's extension first to see how close they can get to the max for KD, assuming Amen gets a max extension next summer. I highly doubt the Rockets and KD had an extension worked out and then just got post-trade cold feet.

I think Durant and Tari's extensions are tied together. I think Rockets expected to have $76 million next year for both without busting 2nd apron. It will likely be closer to $71-72M.

    Caveat: Numbers are eyeballed.

I would’t offer an extension. I’d make him come to me.

It’s not like he’ll find a better offer next summer as a free agent (on a competitive team) than the Rockets.

I don’t see as much risk in waiting, as I do in signing now.

Thank goodness for this. He is an aged man one happening away from be retired. He and the front office knows this. His career is behind him. The value he brings is still his court presence but mentorship is why he is in Rocket red. He will help get us many nationalized games which puts eyes on youth. Grooming them for All Star caliber careers. Hopefully we are able to achieve that goal before he totally breaks down and takes a large portion of the cap.
