"It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."

Guess my friends and family weren't lying when they said the job market has been bad for months...

That's my point; at what point do people say, I am ****ed, I have no job, I'm a middle aged person with a family living with my parents, nobody else I know has a job, there's high crime, I have no government supplied healthcare, eggs are ****ing $1 each!...I can't keep blaming libtards, things were actually better between 2021 and 2025?

There's a big Find Out thread here, and it's only going to get bigger, or should I say greater.

So many questions about the integrity of the data now that we learned a partisan actor was leading the BLS. But job growth for US CITIZENS is good and we needed a blood letting in DC to cut the fat. So there’s some job loss in DC that is good for the country.

But we knew there’d be short term pain to create long term gain. Thankfully the pain has been almost negligible. The tariffs and deportations will drive tremendous long term benefits to the USA - especially for the working class. Keep in mind much of the economy depends on interest rates, which Jerome Powell is stubbornly keeping high to damage Trump. Fiscal stimulus is also down as Trump works to balance the budget. Indeed we had a surplus in June. Stock market is near all time highs and inflation is low — Trump tamed it. All told, this is a fantastic economic start to Trump’s second term.

    GOOD DAY

LOL. Ok. The US will be officially in a recession by the end of the year (if not sooner).

Will they even care? You had the same people here claiming they were willing to suffer for Trump's vision of how this country should be. I doubt the poor and dim will ever change until he no longer exists. We seem to love fighting each other but some still can't realize this is class warfare.

Supreme Court? Bought by the billionaires, do what you want Mr. President just know that doesn't apply to the Federal Reserve...yet
Congress? Propaganda funded by the same class to neuter the most powerful branch in the government
Executive? Well, they may not be able to control everything he does but money will always grant them an exception to the rules

Maybe I should be pleased that I got mine and say **** 'em just one more time...

Don't forget health care is about to explode next year. ACA premiums are going to 2-4x next year for 40 million Americans. My mom whos a part time teacher in texas isnt offered health insurance through her school and gets ACA will have her premium go from 50 to 200ish. Pell grants nd student loans have been gutted as well.

You take away food assistance + AI automation + rip away healthcare for millions and stuff is about to get really ugly.

Basically the only sector that is growing is healthcare. This is an aging country that is voting to cut medicaid and by association medicare. People are basically voting against their self interest.

If it's happening, then it's all part of God's plan, right?

...but if anything that happens is part of God's plan, why bother 'fighting' for anything?

Healthcare will rapidly shrink next year once the ACA subsidies expire. You're talking about 40 million Americans will have their insurance skyrocket. This is separate from the medicaid cuts that will happen in 2028.

If I still had my Healthcare business id be closing shop right now. Majority of rural providers will go bankrupt by 2028 guaranteed

A number of prominent Republican lawmakers are firing back at President Donald Trump over his firing of Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Erika McEntarfer following a brutal Friday jobs report that showed a dramatic slowdown in job growth.

“If she was just fired because the president or whoever decided to fire the director just… because they didn’t like the numbers, they ought to grow up,” said Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC),
“If the president is firing the statistician because he doesn’t like the numbers but they are accurate, then that’s a problem,” said Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY),

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) also slammed the decision, telling The Guardian that “you can’t really make numbers different or better by firing the people doing the counting.”

“We have to look somewhere for objective statistics,” Paul said. “When the people providing the statistics are fired, it makes it much harder to make judgments that you know, the statistics won’t be politicized.”

Former BLS commissioner William Beach, appointed by Trump during his first term, called McEntarfer’s firing “totally groundless,” and in a joint statement, called on Congress to investigate her termination.

Adoo I like you but please dont post propaganda. GOP senators arent "livid" with the WH. Theyre pawns to the WH who have rubber stamped everything he's asked them to stamp.

They deserve zero credit and will be remembered in history as spineless morons

I completely forgot about that. BLS revised the number down by 818k fewer jobs on Aug 21, 2024. If Biden had fired the BLS Commissioner immediately after that revision and accused her of 'cooking the numbers', there would be universal outrage.

Thom Tillis (R-NC) is not running for re-election. Like past cases of Republicans who have chosen to not seek another term, he is now free to speak honestly.
