Was Correa the right player to go over the luxury tax for?

  2. No, he's a negative WAR player who will take up field space when Paredes returns

    Mr. Carlos Oppenheimer is only 30...he still has a few good years left in him, and the contract is only for 3 years...I can't say I wanted the Astros to do something and then go and complain when they go and do something...

    I took "making enough of a difference" to mean contributing to a deep playoff run. So I voted that he wouldn't make enough of a difference, but not because it's Correa. I just felt that going into the deadline their biggest need was a starter. That turned out to be too hard to get. Correa will help them hold their lead in the division, but won't turn them into a contender. Hope I'm wrong.

    One of my favorite things about early season games in mlb is watching the Latin players in the north east and places like MN dressed up like they are voyaging to the North Pole or attacking the summit in Mt Everest.
    I think it’s possible weather related the slow start to Correas season.
    Btw, there is an entire league wide effect to this because of the physics of it all, but I bet that hits harder in MN than anywhere else.
