yeah, I meant between now and their return. honestly, it might be interesting to see if Ullolla could be a bullpen weapon this year.
The starting rotation is a concern. But hopefully the offense will see an increase in run production with the moves the Astros did make, and with players getting healthy.
Someone else also posted about how Cease was talking **** about the Astros on a podcast or interview or something a couple of days ago. He doesnt know how to win, fck'em, we dont need him
LMFAO that is as non prospect as non prospect can be. This was highway robbery. Jim Crane is a mother****ing legend.
A little jealous of the Falter deal to KC. He's an up and comer. Great move. That would have been a tremendous get for us.
Dana was outstanding today. Sure, we absolutely needed a SP, even if it was just an innings eater middle rotation guy...but the Astros have been dealt a historically bad hand with injuries, and we had a TON of needs this deadline, and it's hard to fill them all. Dana basically rebuilt the infield and also also added a valuable LH outfielder, and none of the acquisitions are rentals.
White Sox players from that time all seem to have a weird obsession with the cheating scandal, and took a really hard line stance on it a few years ago. I have no idea why considering outside of the year we busted their asses in the playoffs, they've pretty much been ****ing terrible for the majority of the last decade. But I wonder if that has anything to do with it....
Well Dana Brown, all the credit in the world to you at the deadline. And Crane for allowing it all to happen. He didn't handcuff Brown one iota. Didn't see that coming.
So is there a prospect we gave up at the deadline that anyone is disappointed we gave up? Doesn't appear there is one. I mean this is pretty damn amazing.
I wonder if Cease was worried about pitching in MMP (err, DP?) with a few months left before FA, in an otherwise underwhelming year.
