    Nice outing for Alonzo Tredwell: 5 IP, 2 H, ER, 6 K; the one run came on a solo homer.

    Drew Spence is currently 3-4 with a two-run homer (6) for Asheville.

    The FCL Astros ended their season on Saturday by losing to the FCL Blue Jays in the semifinals of the playoffs. They finished the regular season 37-16.

    It is going to be very interesting to see how they set up the full season rosters for August and should give us a really good idea of how they will look to start next season.

    Guy is barely 22 years old, he has a 65-70 fastball on a scale of 0-80. He has a solid second pitch and I have seen video of him throwing 101 mph. He has a sub 2.00 era in AA, and he has been close to unhittable...... and he isn't in the Astros top 10 because he is a reliever. It is crazy to me, there is a really good chance he contributes more than everyone in the top 20 right now outside of a couple of guys.

    He was my pitcher to watch in the system last year, but he couldn’t stay healthy

    He has legit high leverage potential

    Sami Manzueta was the 2nd biggest bonus from last years international class and he is having a great season as a 16 year old. 21.8% bb, 17% k with some steals and doubles and 2 HR. At that age and level the stats are very murky but I’m excited about him; I really liked his swing in the videos I’ve seen of him. Hopefully he has a nice growth spurt and fills himself out so that he can round out his game. I imagine he won’t be able to come over until he is 18.

    With the FCL season complete, Germán Ramirez and Arturo Flores are heading to Fayetteville. Flores is a catcher from Mexico; he was born in Las Vegas but signed as an IFA last September.

    Cam Fisher was released from Fayetteville.

    Kenni Gomez was pulled from tonight’s High A game in the 6th inning. It was immediately after he grounded out so I assume it was either injury or effort related instead of a trade.

    Am I imagining things or has Treadwell turned it around, made himself a candidate for a late promotion to AA and maybe become a top 15 prospect in our system again?
