Finally saw this last night and really enjoyed it. I think knowing the tone of the movie helped with expectations.

Really not much I didn't like. Definitely not peak Guardians but created a certain vibe that made it a fun movie. The fights scenes were a bit "
zany" but still fun in my opinion. I liked this version of Superman a lot and how they setup it up with it being 3 years after he revealed himself. Also liked Lex Luther as the villain which really captures the zeitgeist of the tech kid billionaire mogul and just made you really want to root against him. All the supporting actors really hit, especially with Mr. Terrific and Guy Gardner. And lastly Lois Lane was great in her role and as hot AF.

Saw this and I was surprised I liked it better than Fantastic 4. It wasn't as good as Guardians but did have entertainment throughout, rather than the bore F4 was most of the movie. 7 out of 10 stars throughout for me.

I'm a diehard Marvel fanboy, so it's not my first choice. I think the MCU is starting to level off at 1000 feet after a nosedive the past few years. There's hope.

There are a lot of non-MCU movies I'd like to see in the theatre, 28 Years Later being one of them and the upcoming Weapons being another, but I just don't have the time. I end up catching a lot of them on streaming.

My 7yo did ask to go see Superman, though. I'm not enough of a dork to not take my kids to something that they want to see as long as it's entertaining.
