The FCL Astros ended their season on Saturday by losing to the FCL Blue Jays in the semifinals of the playoffs. They finished the regular season 37-16. It is going to be very interesting to see how they set up the full season rosters for August and should give us a really good idea of how they will look to start next season.
Guy is barely 22 years old, he has a 65-70 fastball on a scale of 0-80. He has a solid second pitch and I have seen video of him throwing 101 mph. He has a sub 2.00 era in AA, and he has been close to unhittable...... and he isn't in the Astros top 10 because he is a reliever. It is crazy to me, there is a really good chance he contributes more than everyone in the top 20 right now outside of a couple of guys.

Sami Manzueta was the 2nd biggest bonus from last years international class and he is having a great season as a 16 year old. 21.8% bb, 17% k with some steals and doubles and 2 HR. At that age and level the stats are very murky but I’m excited about him; I really liked his swing in the videos I’ve seen of him. Hopefully he has a nice growth spurt and fills himself out so that he can round out his game. I imagine he won’t be able to come over until he is 18.
With the FCL season complete, Germán Ramirez and Arturo Flores are heading to Fayetteville. Flores is a catcher from Mexico; he was born in Las Vegas but signed as an IFA last September. Cam Fisher was released from Fayetteville.
