I actually said we shouldn't even have an Air Force One, and definitely shouldn't spend a billion dollars on it. Also, it is a legal gift the Department of Defense got. Those pesky facts.

 

Yeah which will then be transferred to his personal custody as a "bona fide gift." He will 100% fly on the plane post presidency and anyone with a brain would connect the dots.

I agree, you and Andre and all the other people that deny the indisputable fact that the plane was not given to Trump, but rather the defense department, and the only reporting indicates that it will eventually be donted to the Trump Presidential library are sincerely dumb AF.

It is remarkable that there are trump fans here that will make excuses for the guy obviously accepting a bribe, one worth hundreds of millions of dollars. There is clearly nothing trump does, no lies that he tells, no damage to our country and it's international standing, thanks to his bizarre actions, that will put a sock in your defense of the fellow, no matter what he does. No. What if he flies on the plane to the library? What if he does a press tour for the library and takes the plane around the country? There are too many variables. That would be a dumb bet. If he transfers the plane to his private ownership in 6 months without paying for it, I am willing to concede defeat. If he doesn't, are you? Isn't ownership the gravamen of the offense? The claim I have made is that Qatar is transferring the plane to the Department of Defense and that it will remain there or be transferred to the Trump Presidential Library. That is what has been reported, and that is what I expect will happen. If you agree, then what is the point of the argument? If you don't, that should be the bet. Not some random flights within X time.

I'm not even a Trump fan. I wanted Rand Paul to win the Republican primary (I would have voted Republican in that case). I didn't vote for Trump in any of his runs. I don't support half the crap he does. The fact is that there has been wide reporting of the Qatari plane transfer, and not one report that it is going personally to Trump.
