Sure it isn’t. It may not be true, but it’s not ridiculous to think the Astros are keeping guys out longer than completely necessary in order to have them come back just in time to maintain the division lead and be fresh and in rhythm for the playoffs. It wouldn’t be likely coincidence that so many of their injured players come back in August (late enough to be rested and not fatigue before the playoffs but soon enough to be able to find their rhythm before the playoffs and help win the division).

I have some really cool military pics I stumbled on and finally had developed, old brown film laying around over 50 years. I plan on sharing it here one day when I transition to a laptop.

And... they'll still be in first place.

Then if you hit a bad luck streak or have some new injuries and miss the playoffs by 1 game because of these shenanigans, the whole front office gets fired.

Larkin's grandfather was a friend of mine. Super nice guy, played SS in the old Negro League and went to work at GMC IIRC building cars because he could make $ 35.00 a day. He had some great stories to tell.

Very nice. I've got some of my Dad's from the late 60's but I'll have to ask my uncle for pics of Luke in Korea.

After his first "tour" as an infantryman, he had been scoping out the chow halls (big canvas tents with exhaust going out the top), he said "it looked really warm in there". He was wounded enough that they let him go off the line and move to "mess cook"

Peak Eric Davis was a monster. His peak unfortunately didn't last that long.

Depends on if Dana/Crane want to make the moves nnecessary to win another championship. This probably will mean going over the CBT and giving up guys like Blubaugh/Ulolla/Baez/Melton etc....

    Quoted for truth.

Maybe bring Blubaugh back up. It appears he's throwing well again.

That's awesome. I bet he's got some stories. It would be cool to hear them if possible. I'd do whatever I could to help.

    Awesome story

    Dana should've never re-signed Neris. He's cooked.
