Kids these days will never know when WWF didn’t sell itself as entertainment - it was ****ing real or at least so we thought. It would be the equivalent of the UFC coming out and saying their fights are scripted soap opera. So yeah we all gave a **** and Hulk Hogan was our Michael Jordan.

So weird how people identify with each era of rasslin. I always think the "downfall" of rasslin started with WWF.

Long live NWA, AWA, Mid-South, WCW, etc! :D

The list of guys also includes his wife and kids right? And all the new era wrestlers. And all the older ones who he wouldn't sell for. And all the people that didn't like that whole "super racist" thing. And all the people who saw him act like a pedo billionaire was a good pick to lead a country...

Ok so the list really isn't that short but you're right. His contemporaries did not hate him for being a racist.

Kids are karma. Dude died estranged from his daughter if I understand correctly. That’s 100% on him and I can guarantee his last thoughts were of his family.

    PLUR: Peace, Love, Unity, Respect.

If someone isn’t hurting themselves or anyone else and is happy, be happy for them. You don’t have to understand it, just understand your love for them.

I mean Cena and Dwayne Johnson made it to mainstream movie careers.

Bruv, I will pass on that guarantee. And a lecture about relationships when it's *pretty obvious* he did everyone around him dirty, even if it wasn't me in particular. Not sure why you're holding the shield for Terry Bollea, as if I'm the one tarnishing his legacy. That's 100% him too.

You take the good you take the bad you take em both and there you have...

A one-of-one wrestling icon that was a douche to people. Neither one of those undoes the other, probably contributed to each other honestly.

I thought WWF predated all those leagues. Became WWE than back? I know wrestling had smaller regional leagues but WCW seems post WWF.

Not really about Wrestling, but it was good to see Paul from decades ago.

NWA is ancient. The WWF at one point was part of the NWA, and that was back in the 60's or 50's. But I wasn't talking about what WWWF, WWF, WWE, or whatever else it was before all that being better or not. When I'm talking WWF, I'm talking the 80s, well, maybe 90s and on, after Vince McMahon really got his meathooks into it. It just became too Hollywood and a bit too corny to me. He was a great businessman, but just personally, it killed the sport for me. I don't need to be watching Mark Henry banging 150 year old Mae Young and getting her pregnant. I gave up on wrestling when that came out. LOL.
