And I love the fist pump by Matthews before the throw is even made by Short.

Can we get out of the desert without their bats hurting us?

    Stay tuned.

The desert is indeed bat country, though.

I challenge you to say they wouldn't ;)

It helped that Mabry was slower than molasses flowing uphill.

I just watched the second post-game interview of a future great.

Man, that kid is humble (in every sense of the word)… reminds me of our QB, Stroud, in some ways… very positive outlook/future for Houston sports pros.

Brice gonna have to change his secondary ed alma mater into American Horror Story. Watch out MLB.

I don't think you understand pitching. That was a pitch that looked like it could be at the knees, until it ended up being a sweeper that dove downward over the middle of the plate. If he knows it's a breaking ball then yeah he can lay off. But it's a 3-2 count and I'm pretty sure he was expecting fastball.

    Huh?

It's a nice double play, and in the moment of when it happened it was huge. I get all that.

But the double play to end the game tonight was better than that. Go back and see where the ball is in Brice's glove, nearly a snowcone. And then the presence of mind to turn around to try to get the game ending double play, and man was that turn and throw oh so beautiful, and like you said earlier Short with the perfectly executed catch and throw.

Loved Miller's body language on mound visit. He seemed almost furious and when he leaving the mound turned once more to Diaz it felt like "you are not fking this up, get it done" message.

Yes but the reason he got lucky was because he used Abreu Sunday instead of Gusto for 2 innings.

Messed up entire availability for days.

Robert Ford: "Astros will be one of the teams going after Suarez."
It might not happen but the confidence in which he said that, total respect.

Man, I was so down going into the 8th until Brice hit that HR.....................wow, just wow!! It would be hard to get mad if we had lost due to the injuries but dam they keep finding a way to win with someone new all the time stepping up. I doubt Brice would even be here if we were healthy but DAM he stepped up big time.......................you can chalk these two WINS to Brice

I realize he could be trade bait but knowing you have 5-6 years of control, you might rethink that and look at the big picture and not the short-term need

Oh, I see Lance went on the IR for a blister.............SMH
