“It’s going to take some time for us to get Paredes back,” Espada said

I mean we have no idea what the exact issue is so it's hard to say. His quote didn't really make much sense to me either. I realize he claims he didn't need surgery but to me that's exactly what it sounded like - that he needs surgery but he's going to try to play through it. If it's still hurting and rest is all he needed (he's seen multiple hand specialists), there's no way he would be hitting right now.

I think that was pretty apparent.

I wish I trusted the Astros medical staff enough to believe that last sentence of yours.

How could we have brought him back too early, when he hurt the other leg this time?

Favoring the still injured leg :)

This medical staff gets 0 benefit of the doubt

Right, that's why his left elbow is sore today.

I mean at this point he’s seen hand specialists outside of the Astros medical staff so I don’t think that’s the issue.

If Brice keeps doing what he is doing and Melton ends up showing something, we are in good shape for a while.

Chandler mentioned in his latest article that Javier will be starting for Sugarland this week and that France and Garcia will be pitching for Corpus.

There was no update on any of the injured position players but I’d imagine Pena is getting closer to a rehab assignment

There are 3 players listed that I truly doubt will be 100% healthy in time.

Dana says they expect Paredes and Meyers back in August. I absolutely do not believe him. Very vague on those guys. He was much more specific on the other guys.
I had Pena back in the Nats series, might miss that by a series but should be soon. Yordan maybe 8/5-8/10.
sounded like Arrighetti and Javier were 2 or 3 starts away pain free.

Sub Melton for meyers and Dubon for Paredes and that’s my bet. Everyone is healthy- yeah what you put is what I’d expect.

I wonder how much trade value
Brandon Walter has built up in the last couple months. He’s got plenty of team control left and his baseball savant page is pretty outstanding. I’d like to keep him but he’s tradable given we have starters coming back and plenty of lefties in the bullpen.

Still pissed Melton sprained his ankle turning around to look at a home run. With all the injuries we’ve had this year, it would have been a prospect huggers dream to see Smith, Matthews, Melton, Dezenzo getting daily run.

No way does he have e ough value that I’d even consider trading him. I think he’s a MoR guy with 5 years of control left. That’s super valuable. Nobody else is going to give us that much value back.
