That meant something different. That was actually a stat for how fast your girlfriend would leave you once she found out about your crappy xFIP. Embarrassing stuff.
How is this for sense? Both Sousa and King are lefties. D'backs are terrible against lefties. D'backs already saw Sousa yesterday so they know what to expect. King hasn't pitched since Sunday. Who would make more sense? But what the hell are we doing here? why are we complaining about things that are out of our control?
As I already said…Sousa pitched Friday and Saturday then got 4 outs yesterday. You don’t throw someone 4 out of 5 days in freaking July lol I’ll give Joe some credit too for pitching Abreu in the 8th instead of the 9th. Smart matching him up against the middle of their order.
I don’t think anybody is complaining. Hader not available today. Sousa got 4 outs yesterday. Okert pitched yesterday. Abreu pitched the 8th when it was still a 1 run game. King or Ort were the only possible options based on who’s pitched in high leverage this year… and as you said, go with the lefties against this lineup.
That was the type of win they were pulling off left and right during June when they were scorching hot. Timely clutch hitting and bullpen dealing.
I am not sure what the hell I just witnessed the last 15 minutes… Valdez can’t field but closes the door… Brice Matthews with another elite velocity laser in left field… wild pitch to get another run…. King comes in over Hader and the usual over pitching routing of Espada… then King loads the bases in under two minutes… then he strikes out the next guy on three pitches and two pitches later the Astros win. Everyone is getting to see why Brown wanted Brice Matthews so bad that he took him in round 1 instead of the second round as expected. Brice has always flashed really loud tools.
