I mean we have no idea what the exact issue is so it's hard to say. His quote didn't really make much sense to me either. I realize he claims he didn't need surgery but to me that's exactly what it sounded like - that he needs surgery but he's going to try to play through it. If it's still hurting and rest is all he needed (he's seen multiple hand specialists), there's no way he would be hitting right now.

 

I think that was pretty apparent.

 

I wish I trusted the Astros medical staff enough to believe that last sentence of yours.

 

How could we have brought him back too early, when he hurt the other leg this time?

Right, that's why his left elbow is sore today.

 

I mean at this point he’s seen hand specialists outside of the Astros medical staff so I don’t think that’s the issue.

If Brice keeps doing what he is doing and Melton ends up showing something, we are in good shape for a while.

 

Chandler mentioned in his latest article that Javier will be starting for Sugarland this week and that France and Garcia will be pitching for Corpus.

There was no update on any of the injured position players but I’d imagine Pena is getting closer to a rehab assignment
