Man, not even 3 weeks after his last show.

Love Sabbath, and a lot of his solo work. It was an asbsolute miracle he lived as long as he did.

Wow. I'm glad he was able to make the final show and feel fortunate to have seen him live both with Black Sabbath and solo.

    RIP Iron Man Ozzie.

Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Oz were both staples of my youth and my introduction to metal and hard music in general.

    What a life he lived.

    RIP

He even admitted that he had cheated death countless times in a more recent interview leading up to the reunion tour bc of his addiction to drugs and alcohol. The fact that he lived to 75 is pretty remarkable. R.I.P Ozzy, the godfather of metal music.

****. I was never a big Ozzy fan (just didn't view him as a great talent), but what a career--right up until the end.

Mass respect for his accomplishments and contributions to popular culture.

I'm actually fully devastated by this. Though I'm not old enough to have seen him in his prime Ozzy was the first musician I found in heavy music who first inspired me to switch from the classical and more indie/britpop music I'd played previously, having discovered him on a late night show on VH1 here in the UK "The Friday Night Rock Show with Tommy Vance." I feel very privileged to have seen him play live, he's one of the biggest inspirations in my life tbh (musically, more than lifestyle) RIP to the Prince of Darkness.

Yeah. He's looked rough for the past 30 years.

What a hell of a run he had.

[full album, Paranoid] Possibly the best metal album ever:

    War Pigs
    Paranoid
    Iron Man
    Fairies Wear Boots
    etc...
