I started watching more Woman`s Bball when Clark was at Iowa, and have been a huge fan of hers ever since to the point I actually watch a full game if she is playing. The game and the business are getting bigger by the year, and these things have a way of ebbing and flowing but the league is trending up, new stadiums, better TV deals so it's a good time to do this IMO

Clark makes $84k per year for 4 years but she makes $11 million in endorsements

The WNBA, as a whole, is experiencing a surge in value, with the average team valuation now at $272 million.
The league has seen a 48% jump in attendance and a 54 million unique viewers on national broadcasts, showcasing the growing popularity and financial health of the WNBA

New York Liberty owners sold shares in the WNBA team at a record valuation of $450 million for a women's pro sports franchise, according to multiple reports Thursday.

The capital raised from the sale, which represent a percentage share in the "mid-teens," is believed to be earmarked toward construction of a practice facility in Brooklyn, per the reports

Lol. This has be be satire. They don't really want to be paid what they're worth. If then do 75% of the league will be working in the fast food drive-thru

If they are making real money. The players should be paid fairly. This shouldn't be a debate.

    The question is...........
What happens when Catlin Clark hags up the high tops.
I thought the PGA was going to shrink up after Tiger stopped being the center of every tournament and broadcast.
But new players came along to fill the void.

I wonder if the WNBA has the same staying power.
I suspect 50% of those that watch WNBA do it to see her.
    I might be wrong.

I still do not think calling out your owners VIA tee shirt, is not the correct way to go about negotiating the next CBA.
Seems a bit trite for my liking.

    Maybe Catlin thinks i'm wrong

The newest expansion teams sold for 250 million dollars (which would all go into the current owners pockets). I've s**t on the WNBA as much as anybody, but that is not the kind of number you get if a league is still hemorrhaging money. That is way, way past pity charity money that the league has existed on in the past.

Team valuations at 250 million and a salary cap at 1.5...the math doesn't add up. Not saying they deserve a 50/50 cut or anything like that, but certainly more. What that more equals to is up for debate.

Caitlin Clark is to the WNBA what Messi was/is to the MLS. If they make more money then it would behoove them to ensure that she specifically is taken care of in a manner beyond all of the other players.

This brings back so many memories of playing Kill the Man with the Ball. Then the whole Satanic Panic hit, and suddenly parents thought D&D and rough games like that were actual threats.

WNBA Player Embarrassingly Denied Entry At Club After All-Star Game

A WNBA All-Star had an embarrassing time trying to get into a club while in Indianapolis for the All-Star Weekend.

While streaming on Twitch, Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams tried to get into a nightclub, but the bouncer wouldn't let her cut the line. Williams appeared almost outraged that the security personnel wouldn't give her any VIP treatment.
