Tradition is a part of baseball and means a lot to most of it’s fans. Even though one of the teams involved here is a football team their traditions have been pushed aside by the injustice of the politics of the day. There are currently conversations about the return of traditional team names to the Indians and the Redskins and I am 100% in favor of those returns. I found the renaming of those teams for political correctness highly offensive. Particularly the Indians, a team I have watched since I was in little league. Kickapoo blood runs through my veins and the Indians name has been a source of pride for me for as long as I can remember. I would like to encourage all the fans I know to stand with me on this issue. It may not seem important to you but I am asking you to rethink your position if that is the case. You never know when this will come for a team you love the way I love the Indians.
